Works with original PS1
Had issue with other brand HDMI converter for a PS1 and this was my alternative. Should have went with this one from the start. Works excellent and has been running without issue for about 5 months. Crisp looking images and so far, this has been the best HDMI converter that does not have issues with dark images like most of them do. Will probably order another and dedicate it for my PS2

It’s really good for both ps1 and ps2
It works, it can display both ps1 and ps2 games easily. The quality isn’t good as it doesn’t show anything if you turn on progressive mode but it’s doable

Works
Works good. Still not the best picture but I’m using a PS1 on a 75” 4k ultra HD tv. But it’s definitely better video quality.

This S-video PS1/PS2 upscaler is above expectation
To remind those who don’t know, the PS2 has these outputs from lowest to highest quality: RCA (yellow white red), S-video (4-pin), RGB Scart (multi pin European output), and component video (supports HD, green blue red white red). The PS1 outputs all of these except component, so your PS1 and PS2 (along with PS1/PS2 games) can both output for this upscaler’s S-video.I had recently bought a $20 “RGB upscaler” and was horribly disappointed. It wasn’t even RGB output, because the screen made no difference between the PS2 settings switching between RGB and Component output. And the screen was so dark, I couldn’t even see in the dark Alien Trilogy PS1 game. Then I saw this little $15 cable, and was inspired by the reviews and no mention of a dark signal. This S-video upscaler is so good, I had to write a review. Heck, I ordered a second one for my friend I was so impressed. Remember, S-video is the second best output for these devices, but it’s also WAY better than the RCA cable! Because S-video splits the video signal so there is far less interference/grainy and smeared video. Now, this cable is cheap and not perfect, but it is the greatest $15 I’ve ever spent on any tech accessory. Sure, there can be some combing effects and the reds can be a little over saturated, but man this video comes clean and pretty. Remember this is a budget purchase, so don’t expect your PS2 to become a PS3.Anyway, the best part about this cable is that now, I can easily and comfortably play PS1 AND PS2 games through beautiful upscaled S-video with perfect audio, no noticeable lag, and the best part compared to other upscalers, no horrible dark screens. Great solution for ps2 on my 55" TV
This product is far superior to my last adapter. I'm using a PS2 slim on a 55" TV . The games do not look dark or blurry. Easy install and I'm using the USB on front of Playstation to power device. This is well worth the price , I highly recommend it.

Works great! Requires usb power (brick not included)
Compatible with and provides audio and video from ps2 and ps2 slim to my modern 4k OLED with ease. I’ve noticed zero lag from button inputs to video and the audio is synced perfectly for the few games I’ve tried (haven’t tried a dvd yet, but I’m pretty much all blu ray/UHD with the ps5 these days). It does require a dedicated power source via usb mini with a short cable included.I swapped an outlet with one that includes usb an and c to eliminate the need for a usb brick (not included) when powering the unit.

Mixed Experience: Easy Installation but Audio Issues
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased Mcbazel HDMI Adapter for PS2/PS1 and found the installation process to be a breeze. All it required was an HDMI cable, a power block, and my trusty PS1. However, my experience took a turn when I encountered some troubling audio issues.Initially, I was excited to dive into the world of classic gaming with my PS1. Unfortunately, upon powering up the device, I noticed a strange popping sound emanating from the audio. This unexpected glitch not only disrupted my gaming experience but also made it nearly impossible to enjoy the audio aspects of my games. In an attempt to troubleshoot the problem, I decided to record the sound using my capture card. While this allowed me to document the issue, the jarring nature of the popping sound persisted, rendering the audio quality far from satisfactory.Undeterred, I began to explore potential solutions. My first step was to experiment with different power bricks/supplies, hoping that the issue stemmed from a faulty power source. If this adjustment fails to resolve the problem, I may have no choice but to return the device, much to my disappointment.Overall, while the installation process was straightforward and promising, the presence of audio issues has significantly dampened my initial enthusiasm. I remain hopeful that a solution can be found, but for now, my experience with Mcbazel HDMI Adapter for PS2/PS1 remains mixed.
