They are sturdy. I have had mine for years and they have been on many cruises. Still like new.

These were perfect for placing those paper-printed cruise tags into and securing to your luggage before you hand them off to the porters at the cruise terminal. On past cruises, I've always been a little worried that the paper will tear or the staple will unfasten and our bag will end up in the lost-and-found.Problem solved and worries gone with these sturdy and durable tags! Perfectly sized for the tags you print out and fold at home when you complete your online check-in. The metal wire fastener is a bit fiddly in that it is small and could be difficult for people with arthritis or similar maladies to properly secure. The mechanism involves screwing a tiny metal piece onto the connecting tiny metal screw post. However, it is very secure. I fastened it to a bag and gave it a good tug and it held up.On a side note, these tags can be repurposed for use with lanyards. My son is autistic and when we travel, we are sometimes issued a pass, badge, or other paper item that is larger than a standard credit card-sized plastic sleeve. You simply remove the metal wire and clip it to a lanyard instead. That way, the paper stays dry and you don't have to remove or unfold anything to show it to personnel.I'm very happy with this purchase and will be using the tags as regular luggage tags in the future as well as the lanyard application.

These fit the luggage tags from Princess or Carnival cruise lines though we use them for flights too. On those trips, I put our itinerary with address/hotels, etc... in them in case the luggage is lost. These are also nice if your luggage has to be in the rain (for a cruise or when arriving at the airport for a flight. It keeps the ink from smearing.)I have ordered similar tags from another company that also worked well, except they attached to the luggage with loops that had to be wrapped/looped through each other. That was difficult to do if you didn't pay more to get the longer loops. I think I'm going to really like the metal loops on this one. You just twist them closed. I'll know for certain after our next trip and I'll come back to review that then. But upon first examination, these look like they'll solve the challenges I've had with my current ones. I write a cruise blog and have recommended the tags I previously had to my readers, but if these work well, I'll change that recommendation.

Bought these tags to put on luggage for recent Alaska cruise. They worked great with self-printed luggage tags for Norwegian Cruise Line. I liked the large size. The inside dimensions are 5 3/4 inches X 3 1/4 inches. The metal rings that loop the tag to your luggage come as metal strips. When you are ready to hook the tag onto your bag, you must bend the metal into a loop and twist the two ends to meet, as they screw together. Since it takes several turns to make them tight, you know these tags won't come off very easily. However, we did not put them on during airline transportation, only for the cruise ship. I got the set of 8 tags. We had 3 bags that were put on the ship by the crew. But I also had two for our carry-ons, in case we needed to stash them some where. Now that the cruise is over, I'm putting each tag into each suitcase, with the luggage lock and its combination code, so they'll all be together for the next trip.

Arrived in excellent condition and seem very sturdy. The ability to zip seal the top, extra thick PVC plastic, reinforced ring and the stainless steel loops are extra touches that were the tipping point for my choosing this product, especially the zip seal top. Shacke is the only company to offer that feature. Luggage info is clearly visible through the plastic so the extra thickness for durability doesn't hamper legibility. I'll update further on how well they hold up after our cruise, but I anticipate that they will do very well. My in-laws, who are going with us, were very impressed with the quality (and this is loads better than the old way of just taping your luggage and boarding info to your bags; can't believe it used to be done that way).*********Realized I’d forgotten to update this review. The luggage tags held up very well from the cruise & were in perfect condition. All of our luggage was delivered to our rooms and was accounted for and ready to head to the airport after disembarking.

The material is very sturdy and zip top closure will keep the paper tags from falling out and also keep them dry if the luggage gets wet during rainy weather while being transported from the port terminal onto the ship. I like the metal wire loops that screw securely and are used to attach the tags to your luggage. The loops allow easy installation once you get off the plane and ready to transport the luggage to the cruise terminal. They are than easily removed once the cruise is over and you are ready to check the luggage at the airport. My wife and I have stapled and taped the tags on our luggage for over twenty cruises. This is much simpler and do not have to carry a stapler and clear packing tape to affix the tags on the luggage. Our next cruise is not for two months so they will not be used until then. I will update this review if I find an issue with them.

I haven’t used these yet, but I’m so excited to ues them next month. Last year I went on my first cruise and was shocked my the baggage process. You staple a folded tag to your luggage and hope it doesn’t get ripped off during the journey to your cabin. The tag is the only this attached to your luggage that has your room number on it. No one in my group lost any of their luggage but I did see several bags sitting near the customer service desk without paper tags. I assumed they were bags that lost the paper tags along the way. On the cruise, only one bag on the entire ship of 4,500 passengers was unaccounted for and I know this because they sent around a missing bag notice. Anyways, I’ll feel more comfortable knowing my cabin tags are in this plastic cover.
