This device has THREE USB 3.0 ports. Many other options in this price range have just one 3.0 and two or more 2.0 ports for USB. It also has two SD card slots; one standard and one microSD. And then there's the single HDMI port. It connects to your laptop via USB C. Note that if your laptop does not have USB C, you won't be able to use this unless you also have a USB C to A adapter. Also note that if your laptop only has one USB C port, you will need a USB C to A adapter if you are planning to plug any USB C devices into this hub, as it only has USB A. The hub is 5 1/4" in length, 1 3/8" wide, and 1/2" tall when laying flat. The permanently attached USB C cable measures 7 1/2" in length and is flexible, but not flimsy. The part where the cable attaches to the hub does have a faint rattle to it if I shake it, but if you're not in the habit of shaking things like this, you probably won't notice it. it's not terribly loose, perhaps a millimeter or less of movement. Everything else is solidly in place. The shell has a nice metallic feel to it and the device has a decent weight to it (without it being very heavy) to signify that's it's not made to feel like junk, at least. So far, so good. It does what I need it to do. Most new laptops are lacking an abundance of ports and if you're a person who still uses a digital camera instead of your phone, or if you're fortunate enough to still use a phone that has removable memory cards, this provides the slots for those memory cards, which most newer laptops also omit. It seems of good quality so far, and I think $20 is a fair price for this device in this current market, given that it has 3 USB 3.0 slots, even though it lacks any additional USB C ports.

This USB hub doesn't work as it's supposed to. It cost around 40 dollars and it's not capable of supporting the connection between my smartphone and my laptop. It's very slow, and the connection often freezes. When I connect my phone through a 10-dollar USB hub, it works better. I DO NOT recommend buying it.
