I followed the instructions perfectly, and tried to crank to get a good amount of tension [for the line to not touch the ground]. When testing it out, the crank made a snap sound and released the tension [it was too loose anyway] I re-tightened it, but found, as I got close to good tension, the crank's spring did not push in to lock the gear in the position. So I would tighten 4 notches, but because the mechanism doesn't spring the lock into place, when I go to crank more, it goes backwards 4 notches, keeping you at the same very loose tension forever.I have tried to get it to work [by manually trying to shove the spring plate into the gear] and this works slightly. The tension is still loose, which makes it very very hard to use, and I think the DIY approach to using the broken gear will result in it randomly releasing, potentially causing injury. Anyway the crank is so poorly made, it breaks on the 1st proper use.Very sad because this is the only full black Slack Line I could find. All the others are bright yellow or orange with cartoons all over them. Currently it is useless, because without a crank, you can't get tension and slackline..

The media could not be loaded.  Now I know this is a slack line kit but I had a totally different idea when I bought this kit. It’s main purpose for me was to secure my toys when I’m going camping, trailing etc. used to kit so many times over summer to secure my atv, bikes to and from the camp site. On a couple of occasions I used it ti remove some gym equipment, a trampoline and a set of washer and dryer and every time it lived up to its quality. First time I was a bit nervous but everytime since then it exceeded my expectations, it’s a great kit, good quality, easy to use and easy to store. Use the tree protectors around the edges and then pull the straps over, not a single scratch or dent!!! For the price it’s a no brainer.

My daughter goes to gymnastics once a week and she’s absolutely terrible at it. She has no coordination, which I can only assume she gets from her mother. Anyway, despite how bad she is, she likes going and that’s all that matters. She also loves climbing trees and pretending she’s a lion, so this kit offered her a way to practice balance while doing what she loves anyway. Win-win and she absolutely loves it. I strung it between two trees outside our kitchen window, and she spends hours out there going back and forth while my wife and I can watch her while prepping food.The kit itself uses quality materials and I had no issues stringing, tightening, or re-routing it. The strap is secure and wide enough that both my wife and I tried it and it held us without issues. I do wish the carrying case had a way to organize the straps because keeping it all neat when not in use is a bit of a challenge. I used Velcro strap hangers to secure the cord rather than the rubber bands that it comes with and it works pretty well.
