Great on facial hair
This really works. I was sceptical as I had a few dark chin hairs that drove me crazy. After several uses they are thin fine and grow back much more slowly. A really good purchase

Easy to use and well shaped for ladies' needs
First thing to remember is this isn't a hair remover, it's a hair reducer. I find it a little unnerving that the box states the hair reduction is permanent, but the instructions say you need to carry out top-up treatments. You need to shave the area you're working on beforehand. Shaving only, no waxing or plucking. For me, that's bad news. I get terrible razor rash. Use of the unit is simple. It has two modes, one where it's firing constantly and you glide it over large areas as you would a ladyshave, and one that's single flash for using in smaller or difficult areas. There's an adaptor to click on if you want to use the IPL on your face. It's no more or less painful than any other IPL system, but it's noticeably nicer to hold and angle. IPLs tend to handle more like mens' electric razors and be clunky and awkward to get around lady curves. The shape and handling of this unit is much better for that. As for does it work, only time will tell. I'm specifically using this for bikini line, but the need to shave rather than wax could be a problem for me. I would have gone four stars for this review, but I've dropped one for the typos in the instruction book and lack of clarity about how long the results are genuinely effective for.

Comfortable Hair Removal
There are two parts to this review, one from the other half and one from me For the ladies it seems the preparation requires shaving the target area first then using the remover. It has different settings which affect the way the remover targets the hair. My other half was expecting miracles of this and was disappointed when she realized that this doesn't stop the maintenance cycle but slows it down to every few weeks and instead of the razor/shaver she needs to use this to keep on top of things. She personally said she hasn't really seen much of a difference between shaving and using this apart from the growth has slowed and maybe the treated areas feel a bit smoother but she wasn't really that impressed. Now for my view, when she opened it I saw it had a facial attachment, having had an annoying persistent set of random hairs growing on the very top of the bridge of my nose between my eyebrows for as long as I can remember I wondered whether this might help. TBH I was put off by the shaving of the area, primarily as its on my face and also as shaving often thickens hair up so if this didn't work I didn't want to take the risk of making things worse. In the end I plucked the thickest ones and then tried it. At the moment maybe this incorrect use hasn't helped but the thinner hairs do seem to have pretty much gone and I'm waiting to see whether the thicker ones re appear But as this really is for the ladies my wife's view is this it seems good but seems very pricey and hence she can't give it more than 4 stars

Do not buy
This is a terrible item. It did not work at all. I followed the instructions carefully, and used it 2-3 times per week from July last year until January this year. It did absolutely nothing. I used a test patch to compare, and the hair growth was exactly the same on the places where I used it, and on the patch where I did not. It has been an absolute waste of money. I requested a refund, but have not received any response.

It works
It actually works been using this for 2 months now and I can say in most places the hair has completely stopped growing. Armpit hair is taking longer to get rid of completely but it's growing back slower. Brilliant product only wish I had discovered it earlier.

Quite hot to use, no changes in hairiness so far
This is a compact unit similar size to a basic lady shaver, the cable is incredibly short & you need to use it very close to the wall socket. Unfortunately it does not come with a stow away case which you would expect with something as expensive as this. It has a glass piece where on a typical Razor the blades bits would be.. It has various numbered strength setting & you chose the number setting for you based on your hair colour Placing the glass bit onto skin & slide the unit along the skin whilst pressing the button. The unit gives out flashing light pulses & there is a snapping sound, it doesn't hurt as such but it gets incredibly hot , you are supposed to pass it over each bit of skin 5 times & it gets so hot that is not easy to do this. There is a clip on piece to use on the face so that the glass bit isn't touching the skin. Googles are provided. The instructions don't say how often to use it, they say that hair has around a 5 week growing cycle & that not all hair will be affected when you use it as it will be at different stages of the growth cycle. I've used this IPL one to two times per week for a few weeks now & ive seen no aparant change in hair growth, I've used it on bikini line, chin, lip & side of my face Will keep on with it as I really do hope that it works & post an update in a few weeks
