Medium size, lightweight kite that folds into a small pouch
Medium size, lightweight, robust kite that flys well even in high winds. Comes with long streamers on the wing tips, which keeps it stable and is visually pleasing. Folds easily into a small pouch.

Lightweight so hoping the string lasts!
When I first got this, I thought it was tiny but it does fold out to a decent size - I chose the orange one hoping it'll be easy to spot when it's flying. There is a video of how to attach the string etc (just google Honbokite) but it's a simple clip and you probably won't need the video - it doesn't look that sturdy but only a test flight will determine how well it holds up - we haven't had the weather to try it out yet - it's icy and rainy so I need to wait for better weather conditions before it can be tested fully. The kite itself looks well made and all the seams are well sewn with no loose threads etc . I'm hoping it's good enough to amuse the kids for a bit when the weathers better and for £15, it's a cheap form of entertainment for them!

Flies very well, even in low wind. Decent quality for the price. Can't fault it.

lets go fly a....
kite! this is a lovely kite for beginners. i remember my first kite, running around fields trying to get it up in the air and once up trying to keep it there. this is one of those kites, the ones that bump across the ground as you run ahead of it. this does not detract from this at all. in fact i feel that it adds to it. call it nostalgia. get your kids out of the house on an almost windy day, and get them enjoying the highs and lows of kite flying.

Easy to fly, and assemble
I got this as a pass-time I thought my 9 year old son could enjoy doing. We don't have the space to fly it at home sadly, but the local parks are quiet enough that we should get the opportunity. Assembling the kite was kinda easy. I wish I had noticed the assembly instructions on the rear of the cardboard insert though. The chord attaches to a flap of the kite on the bottom. Then you need to slide in the brace across the kite. You need to slide down the two side bars along the edge of the kite so that they are then flush to the bottom. If you don’t do this they will repeatedly fall out during flying. This isn't the kite's fault, it is not reading the instructions. There are two long streamers, one from each edge. Putting it together takes about 5 minutes, as it folds quite easily with most of it already assembled. We took the kite to one of the local parks last weekend. The air-flow was apparently 2.6m/s according to the anemometer. This was just about enough to get the kite in to the air. When we had it low, about 3m, it was struggling and going side to side a lot. However once up a bit higher it did become nice and steady. I was asked whether my son could hold the string like I was, I had to say no, and pointed out the line that had been burnt in to the skin of my finger. Again, this isn't really the kite's fault, please take care of the chord when the kite is in flight.

Newbie to kites
I ordered this specifically as it said good for beginners and kids. It’s a lovely bright and colourful kite, so it’s easy to watch in the kite. A little bit tricky to put together but I’m not the best at anything fiddly! Once it was all fitted, it seemed to fly like a dream in the sky. My kids loved watching it and helping hold it. Perfect for a day out.

Bought this for my 3 year and it was a hit! It is super light weight, doesn’t have a ton of things to get tangled and the hand piece is small enough that it was comfortable for him. We got it to go so high and he was able to hold it “all by himself” since it’s not a heavy kite. Made for a very fun day!
