Got these to replace the original pads on my Astro A40 after the cushion came away from the magnetic base, and I’m really impressed. They fit perfectly and were easy to install. The cooling gel and fabric combo is a big upgrade in comfort – they feel great even during long gaming sessions. hese earpads made a real difference. Right away I noticed that my ears didn’t get hot and sweaty like they did with the originals. They’re softer, slightly thicker, and feel more comfortable for long gaming or listening sessions. Installation was easy and they fit perfectly. I got these to replace the original covers for my ASTRO A40 TR, which have been great, but the sponge is starting to lose its thickness and support. Upon arrival, I noticed that these are well-made and feel comfortable, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The sound difference was pretty bad—it seems to block out the highs and mids, leaving the audio dull. I tried various EQ settings along with different spatial sound options, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, but nothing worked. I play competitive games where sound is essential, but these did not deliver at all. Even when chatting with friends on Discord, everything sounded flat and playing music. The best way to describe it would be like using earplugs or putting your fingers in your ears. I'm not sure if it's the extra thickness, the inner wall being leather, or something else. I gave them a try for about 30 minutes but couldn't get used to them, so I had to request a refund.

they make your 200 pound headset become a 50 pound headset footsteps are much harder to pin point in games its important in. i should of trusted some of the reviews but as a temp fix they are not too bad comfortability is decent but the over the top noise cancelling and the worse sound quailty makes its just not worth buying go for official astro mod kit your thank me later .

Too small not comfortable and not cooling

Bang average; they warm up to body temp within 30mins. Comfortable however would definitely class this as a downgrade from stock astro - especially if you rock EQ’s. The build traps all noise within and increases noise cancellation. Still trying to adjust eq’s to account for the design of these

Effettivamente, come ho letto su altre recensioni, lo spazio per le orecchie è minore, nonostante ciò le mie orecchione ci stanno molto bene. Tal cual como los originales, funcionan bien se ven bien no encuentro problema alguno por el momento al usarlos, los materiales se sienten de calidad y los acabados son muy bonitos. Son de importacion pero almenos la opcion de colores de los 90's llego al dia siguiente a mi casa, muy bonitos.
