Sioux Chief 490-11322 Closet Flange Floor Support

Works as advertised. Saved me from having to tear that section of the floor out.

This product made my job easier! I did not want to enter the small crawl space or tear up the old tile in the bathroom, so I searched online for solutions and found this flange support! After removing a toilet to fix a wobbling issue, I found too much spacing between the waste pipe and the subfloor. Too much spacing is a big issue because I could not mount my new twist n set flange to the floor. I purchased this flange support to resolve that issue. Installing it was more complicated than expected at no fault of the product. I could not get through the old bathroom tile with the usual masonry bits. After buying a diamond hole saw to drill through the tile, I found the subfloor underneath the tile damaged, which I fixed with some 2x4s screwed to the joists. After that, I mounted this flange support to the 2x4s, inserted/leveled my new twist n set flange, and used the mounting holes in the new flange to line up my drill and make mounting holes in this flange support. After that, I screwed down the new flange to this support, and I was ready to install the rest of the toilet! Very happy!

Just recently I had all the copper water drain lines under my house replaced. Built in 1964, some areas along the copper drain lines started showing signs that they needed to be replaced, small pin holes and rusting. My toilet was removed so the main sewer drain pipe could be switched out. Thats when it was discovered that the old toilet flange was not probably attached to the wood floor. The floor opening had been cut to big. Thats where this Sioux Chief floor support came in handy and provided that support that was needed. The work was done by a local plumbing business who did a good job. The metal flange support was screwed into the floor then a new PVC flange screwed down on top. Toilet is rock solid now and doesnt move a bet, and I'm very pleased. ****One thing about the the size this Sioux Chief plate, it comes shorter length wise then is mention. They are about 1 1/2" shorter. Had they been 11" it would have been greater. it measures closer to 9 1/2" instead, but work ok anyway. Just want to pass the size thing on to you.

Worked Great!

This product worked like a charm to strengthen the floor under the toilet. There was some wood rot and this made the area stronger. It spread the weight across the floor area. This is not meant for total wood rot however. It saved redoing the entire subfloor. Easy to work with. Easy to understand how to attach to floor. Excellent do it yourself fix.
