This is a decent replacement for my 2015 Ford Ecosport key fob, where the open/close buttons have seen better days. It was easy to follow various videos to resite the motherboard and battery but nowhere was there mention of the need to transfer the RFID/PATS chip. If you do not transfer this chip then the engine will not start! Sadly, removing this chip can be hit and miss, as in some fobs it is glued in and care is required.

Spring mechanism doesn’t even work properly for my 2006 mk2 focus key, after moving everything over into the new fob housing it’s almost as if the original factory ford key is half a millimetre too thick it creates too much friction stopping the spring from deploying the key when pressing the button. Just badly manufactured aftermarket product. Waste of money and time trying to make it work. Annoying. Went back to my old battered original fob. Also different design so can’t even frankenstein the bottom half onto the old top key mechanism. (Which I tried) Basically just got a £10 spring.

does what you want it to; bought to replace the keyfob on a Focus 09 CC and it works perfectly. Lack of instructions might cause an issue for some people if you have never done a keyfob swap yourself; but its an easy process and works perfectly once done! nice quality and great product
