MegaGear Leather Camera Case Compatible with Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ80

It is leather, well stitched, and a great fit (though it took two attempts from new, to fit properly). The top will probably be redundant when the camera is in use, the base + strap is snug and unobtrusive. Particularly impressed by three things :- the strap, which an inch wide though-out, and padded, and not emblazened with logos; the top viewfinder cover, which must have been a nightmare to design; the separate battery cover, which is discreet, and allows full access. The main selling point remains the perfectly stitched leather work ! When fully closed it protects the camera fully, allowing it to be rucksack transported.

Most camera brands no longer supply their SRL & bridge cameras with ever ready cases, but since my first serious camera was an Asahi Pentax SP1000 fitted with an ever ready case - now vintage - I like them. The case is not real leather but it is well made and of decent quality. It gives good protection to the camera. I would have liked the material to have been more flexible, but nevertheless it works and that is good enough. The only down side - which I found annoying - is the case is not supplied with a base plate screw to attach it to the camera. This has to be purchased seperately, hence the one star reduction. I have been using the case for two years since purchase and I haven't experienced any problems.

Not the cheapest case on the market but then most cases just house your camera with room for accessories. This quality leather case fits around the camera with the ability to just leave a piece around the bottom and up the sides with poppered sections where you can replace the battery, without having to remove this part of the case. Being leather it should weather with age whilst still doing its job. Bought to fit the Panasonic LUMIX DCZ82EBK.

Really like the deep brown cover. The top section is a little boxy but great for protection until you want to use it. Then it comes away from the bottom section giving a sturdy protective cover and actually adds to the look. Ideal opening flap to access the battery and card without removing. I like it!

Instant reaction: this is a well-made case. Then you put it on. The fit is too snug so it is fiddly and awkward to unclip the front cover. The front cover dangles randomly from the remaining popper - it's bound to get snagged and drop off - lost. After all, the Lumix has a line to attach the lens cap, but the cover has no line to make sure it can't get lost. Then putting the cover on is just awkward too, it needs manipulating into place, and it again needs a popper which is on the underside. It's a 30 second task to do up. The case does not seal, there are big gaps around the eye piece. It also is just a camera case, no little pocket for a spare memory card or battery. It can only hang from the neck, there is no belt fixing. Shame. A very nicely made case, it's just unusable in real life.

I bought this to protect a Lumix FZ82. The style harks back to the case for my old Olympus OM1, but it didn't work for me, as I found the case bulky and impractical. The Case has a part for the lower body and a part for the top which has a popper at the bottom, so to use you undo the top cover flip it over the front and it hangs off the lower popper. Because of the size of the camera, it is very large to be hanging whilst you try to take pictures. In my view you would need to remove it completely and then need somewhere to put it. The fit of the case is very tight and even with the few times I tried the case, I noticed it was starting to rub the top finish of the camera. Build quality and materials were very good, but this case just did not work for me, so I returned it.

The leather case is well made and the camera fits well. The case does add some weight but to protect the camera properly it’s worth the investment and additional weight.

Vintage, práctica y bonita

Perfekt fodral till min Lumix DC-FZ82. Dert har redan fått vara ute och fara runt med mig och min kamera! Naturligtvis är det lite hårt i början men det kommer att bli mjukare och det har en bra passform.
