Pops and crackles when you use CPU for anything because buffer size v small
If you have pops and crackles make sure your original macbook power cable is plugged in.. if your macbook is powered by a monitor screen this is the reason

Unreliable
Bought this becuase the of the specification. The hardware looks very good.I followed all of the instructions, but unfortunately, the M6 would not connect with my desktop PC. I also tried a different cable but no joy, I just got a unkown device in Windows 11, and the MOTU software didn't pick it up, so faulty on arrival.I'm very disappointed and suspect it's a driver issue from MOTU - so I am back to using my trusty Roland Quadcapture which has been going strong for 10 years.
