Q: Could i use the 6mm xp-pro next to 6mm profoam? i am concerned that if i lay laminate flooring across the two one will compress more than the other

Yes you can, but I would suggest you use the profoam across the entire floor as this is a tad softer and allows the cables to embed themselves into the board slightly better. They also perform the same as have the same thermal resistance. XP Pro is more expensive as it can be tiled onto as well (if on a concrete base)

Q: Can I lay carpet tiles direct on this product?

Don’t see why not. Make sure they’re fixed down properly as per different sub floors.. wood / concrete etc

Q: Can they be used on top of 18mm plywood.

If you are going to tile then you must use a tile baker board. For carpet and wood then these are fine.
