I found that pausing and rewatching the video instructions, especially during crucial steps, significantly aided the process. A well-organized workspace and a patient helper are essential for a smooth installation. Remember to remove all the shipping material from the inside of the rails and cover. Product Quality and Performance: The cover itself is exceptionally solid and feels incredibly premium. It's noticeably heavier than expected, which speaks to its robust construction. I bought the Bestwyll retractable cover for my F150. It was by far the best deal for a retractable bed cover. Some reviews said the directions aren’t clear. I’d say that’s somewhat true but if you watch a video of it being assembled you’ll be fine. I put it together and installed it by myself in about an hour and a half. It fits perfectly, works great, and looks awesome. I’m very happy with the purchase and would recommend it for anyone looking for a cover for their truck bed. One thing to note, I used the brackets that attached to the attachment points in my truck bed. You’ll have to buy those self-tapping screws separately. And I needed to use my hammer drill to get those screws in. But once that was complete the cover was rock solid.

I'm very satisfied with the Bestwyll truck cover. If you are mechanically inclined you can easily install it, if not you may struggle with it. Set aside a couple of days without anything else to do. I installed the brackets one evening, put the cover together another, and finally installed it on the truck on the 3rd day. The instructions are OK but not great. The small parts (bolts and fasteners) were labeled very good. It also came with drill bits and tools, everything you need to install it. The cover works great, looks so much better than the fold up kind. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality and I got it at a great price too!

So, where to begin? This was definitely an interesting install and it almost became overwhelming. If this is your first retractable Tonneau cover, as soon as you open the box and read the instructions all the way through, then watch the INSTALLATION VIDEO in the description. The set of instructions I received was apparently the old set and a new one was being processed, but where the print falls short, the video helps clarify it. The biggest thing I struggled with was which bed-mounted support went where. I immediately contacted customer service and they responded with a few hours. And through some back and forth messages, which were responded quickly each time, I was able to figure continue. There are two styles and the printed directions are very difficult to understand which went in the front and and which in the rear. As far as left and right, that is easily discernible as they labeled them “L” and “R” respectively. Maybe label them “LF” for ‘Left Front’ and so on? Either way, once you get passed that, it was pretty simple other than closing the tailgate. The first install wouldn’t allow my tailgate to auto close, meaning it’s an assisted up/down tailgate. It would hit the bed cover and go back down. Again, I contacted customer support, responding with a few hours, and recommended I try adjusting the rear mounting brackets upwards a little, which honestly makes sense, doh!, and it worked perfectly! All in all, I’m really impressed with the cover, it slides well, covers well and looks great! Another change I would make is to make the locking mechanism auto catch in the closed position. At present, you have to turn a knob in order for the latches to catch for the cover to stay in the closed position. I would still recommend this cover! Can’t beat the price or the quality of the material and they have FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! Which I feel is a declining trade now a days. Just buy it, read/watch the instructions and you too can have a great Tonneau Cover!

I love the way this heavy duty aluminum cover looks and functions. It is a direct fit to my 2019 F150 and I can certainly vouch that it helps the truck to be more fuel efficient. I drove it around following same path from other times and the gas needle barely moved other time it would take 1/4 tank this alone is worth adding the cover. I love the LED light and how smoothly it retracts and locks. The instructions are not that good but if you watch the videos from different people before installing it will make it easy. Important note that originally through me off was the alignment of the bed cover naturally starts wide from the rear bed door during install toward the back window. You might think the bed cover is not squared because of this but that is the design and if you watch plenty of videos you will this but not really mentioned. You definitely need two people for installation. So far I’m happy will see how long it lasts and if the paint does not fade out with the sun too quickly.

I have a 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning (5.5 foot bed), and needed a dry, secure solution that worked well with the power lift gate. I found another F-150 Lightning owner recommended this product, so I gave it a try. Almost 3 months later, I'm very happy with my decision. The biggest weakness is the instruction manual. It's poorly written and difficult to understand what it wants you to do at some points. I watched a few youtube videos of this and similar products to get a better understanding of how it's supposed to go together. You should also have two people when installing since it is too large and heavy when assembled for one person to lift. It also helps to have a second person when making fit adjustments (for those with power lift gates), since you want it to be as loose as possible against the tailgate while still providing a good weather seal. The bed cover was very nicely packaged and came with no damage, and no missing parts. Installation requires no drilling, except through two plastic plugs for the drainage tubes to pass through. They include the drill bits too. If you don't want to drill you can just pop out the plastic plugs, but drilling gave it a clearner look. I opted to not install the side clamps on my short bed and relied only on the four box link attachment points (you can still mount the box link plates on top of the provided hardware). If you ever decided to use the rail feature, you would proabably want these side clamps, though. Once installed, I found the product has very good build quality, and good fit and finish. It effectively secures the bed and keeps the inside dry. I found it self-retracts even in the winter with a little snow on top (my biggest concern was how it will do in the winter, and I'm happy to say it does well). It has settings to allow it to open part way or all the way. There's a long tether so you don't have to climb into the truck to close the cover. Best of all, the power rear tailgate still closes with this bed cover, you just have to make the necessary adjustments after installation. Customer service also appears to be on the ball, is responsive, and helpful. Overall, I'm happy with my decision. The bed cover looks and functions great.

Nice but very tricky to install. If you have never installed these before, then get ready to spend about 3-4 hours installing! The book does not give a good installation procedure when it comes to installing the side rails. What they forget to tell you is you have to line up the track with the sides. This was the hardest thing to figure out. Make sure your measurements are correct on each side otherwise it will not slide easily. For my f 159 the tail gate wouldn’t close with it so I have to open the roll and lock to close my tail gate. Besides those issue it seems like a pretty durable bed liner
