Q: The bottom pole comes out of the part that is supposed to tighten. Is it supposed to be glued in? The fastener won't go far enough down on bottom pole

I don’t think it was glued but mine came apart also and I can’t get it to tighten back up. I haven’t really worked with it much to see what the problem might be.

Q: Windows with 2ft winow box in front of them that I have to climb on to open/ close windows, do you think this is strong enough?

Not sure what you're asking here? Sounds like you're opening and closing windows from outside? This is a strong tool I use to pull stuff to get out of my full size pickup. Only negative is I have to keep tightening the hook part on the end.
