This is a great set of scales for the traveler. I was given one as a corporate gift and found it super useful especially with suitcase weights becoming so tight these days. It was used so often that when my daughter moved out she took it with her :( So I had to buy another. Works well and the batteries last a long time and are easy to change. A must-buy if you fly a lot. Further, if you have bulky parcels you need to weigh you can put a strap around the parcel and weigh it with this machine, very helpful when trying to calculate postal costs for eBay, etc. 5*.

Both of our holiday suitcases were approaching the maximum weight, I got this so when packing to come home, we can be sure that we don’t exceed the weight allowance, whilst packing in the room.Yes, most hotels have scales at reception, but who wants to publicly rake through a suitcase to find 450g to remove!Cheap enough, light and not worth not having for the cost of it.I have also used them around the house for miscellaneous things.For comparison, it was +-200g of my digital bathroom scales, which is good enough considering I had 31kg of suitcase swaying as I took the measurement.

Bought this to weigh luggage before a flight. This is a neat unit with some good features. It has a very clear display. You can choose the units of kg or pounds.The display is illuminated in use which would be useful if you need to use it where there is poor lighting. To operate you press the on button and the display illuminates. You set the weighing units to kg or lbs and temperature units to deg C or deg F with the unit button. It is easy to attach to a suitcase with its strap. The plastic underside is rounded so it its comfortable to lift with your hands. Also, that area has a nonslip surface to help you grip. To save the battery, the display illumination turns off after 7 seconds if you dont use the device. It comes back on if you press any of the buttons or automatically just by lifting a case with the device. After a about a minute of not being used the whole device shuts down.While weighing, when the reading stabilises, it keeps that reading in the display for about 10 seconds even if you put the case down.Would have given 5 stars, if it wasn't for the temperature measurement function. When I checked it against a good thermometer, it read over 2 degrees too high. I didn't need that function, so no big deal.
