Nice Mini Centrifuge
I am finding that this mini centrifuge works very well but I must admit that I had to look at a video in order to figure out how to get it to start. The instructions aren’t very clear on that so I thought it was trying to continually reset the speed not realizing that it shows zero after setting because it isn’t moving. Duh. Works great for blood spinning however you wouldn’t want to use that high speed for a blood spin so it is kinda wasted. There are other options, possibly better ones that are cheaper as you wouldn’t want to go over 3,500 for a blood spin. I’ll probably keep it though unless I see something better. The beeping is loud and when the lid is open it beeps until you close it which is annoying.

Viene con mini tubos de varios tamaños, maximo 1.5 ml. Pequeña para uso pequeño personal o microempresa. No puedes regular el tiempo ni las revoluciones.

Poor quality
Doesnt last. Less than 1 year and it stopped working. I didnt use it all that much. You are better off paying a little more for a product from a more reputable supplier.

Product is good
Description wasn’t the greatest A little more elaboration would save everybody time I had to return because my tubes were bigger

Odd Economy
As others have suggested, this is a weird one. A piece of lab equipment for 10% the cost of the real deal. It seems the reviews fall into two camps; 1) People who don't know much about lab equipment and just got it to fiddle around with or resell and think it is okay OR 2) People who work with proper lab equipment and find this to be a steaming pile that only looks a bit like a centrifuge. That said, I'd take this as the lab equivalent to those power tools you get factory direct from overseas. It sort of does what it says it is going to do, which is spin a rotor under the little hood. Need to only do that once, and don't care much about precision results? This might be fore you. Need something that just looks the part? Again maybe for you. Tinkerer who is probably going to take this apart, rewire the thing with an arduino and sensors to control the speed and time? Possibly a good start. (this is likely my camp). Want this for a real lab in the real world doing real sciency spinny stuff? Steer clear, this is not for you. Have a proper one of these at your day job doing the science and just want one for the bedside in the event midnight inspiration hits? Steer clear, you will be frustrated, and the special science friend you invited for a sleepover will be impressed in the same way as that date you invited to watch you at the races was when you rocked up in a clapped out stock aughts Altima.

Great for what I need it for.
I do a lot of purification of various substances, and by far one of the most useful tools for purification, especially where precipitates are concerned, is simply to let it sit for a while, followed by decanting off the clear liquid above, hopefully leaving the nasty precipitate behind. If you've ever decanted anything, and if you're looking at lab centrifuges, I'm guessing you have, you know that some precipitates have a very light mass relative to the solution they're suspended in. They tend to "slosh up" easily, so when you decant, you're always left with a sizable about of liquid left behind filled with gunk. I use a centrifuge like this to take those small bits of liquid that are left and spin them down so I can then pipette off the clear, leaving the gunk at the bottom of the tube. It WAY speeds up a process that could otherwise take hours, or for some precipitates, days to complete. This is a great little centrifuge for what I need. Here's the key - even loading. Want the secret? Load your tubes on a precision balance and make sure each one has the same mass, preferably to the 1/100th of a gram or better. The closer all your tubes are to the exact same weight, the smoother it'll spin. If you don't yet have a precision lab scale/balance, I recommend picking one up, they go hand-in-hand with centrifuge loading for spindown. Amazon sells them, too. A side benefit of a high-precision measured loading is the centrifuge will work better and more efficiently, as its own vibrations won't be shaking up the samples it's trying to separate. If you ever have problems getting samples to settle out, check the precision of your loading. If it's off too far, get it closer to zero and see what happens. The "ease of use" here is pretty off the charts. It comes with a manual. I'm sure it's lovely. I haven't read it. I got it up and running without, so you should have no problems. This does exactly what I need it to do - settles particulates out of fluids so I can discard the junk in prep for re-crystalization. It's easy to use, and it sure does spin. 5 stars.

Small volume
This review is for the LACHOI Mini Lab Centrifuge Machine 1000-10000RPM Adjustable Time LCD Digital Mini Microcentrifuge Scientific Mini Centrifuge Benchtop with 2 Rotors for 8×0.2/0.5/1.5/2ml Tubes&2×8×0.2ml PCR Strips. I use the LACHOI centrifuge for culinary purposes. Clarifying lime juice is difficult but I am pleased to report that the LACHOI does indeed work for clarifying lime juice. The problem is that the maximum capacity is only 16ml. My college degree is in biology and I was used to centrifuges with higher capacity and reusable tubes. The LACHOI comes with one set of tubes but I had to buy a bag of five hundred tubes since I was not able to remove the pellets from the bottom. I can't blame LACHOI for the small capacity. I knew what I was getting into. And inexpensive centrifuges of higher volume don't spin very fast. The only slight problem I can find with the LACHOI is that in use the LACHOI rotor gets quite warm. I may try spinning with the centrifuge in the refrigerator or freezer. The LACHOI is a well designed unit. It is easy to use and deserves five stars.
