Excellent Cat Food At A Reasonable Price
I did some research into different kinds of cat foods because I wanted to switch from my cheap, meat byproduct wet food to something more wholesome. I stayed with Dave's Pet Food. Among other good choices, it was more affordable and it comes in larger can sizes than the other brands. That was important because I am feeding 2+ cats. I liked the fact that this brand has no recalls for cat food and only one food recall (beef) for dog food. I also prefer a product from a family-owned and family-run business rather than a big corporate manufacturer.About the food:The first 5 ingredients of the Chicken dinner are real meat (and broth) and no grains. The meat is pâté-style; it looks appetizing and smells indeed like poultry. No strong or offensive odor like the cheap stuff. After 7 weeks I can see the difference. The coats of both cats are soft and shiny and they appear more muscular and fit, despite being indoor cats. Even their poop is better and no longer has the overwhelming odor. Most of all, both cats love the taste and lick every single morsel out of their bowls. I might try the other meats beside turkey, just to give the felines some variety. I can highly recommend this cat food

Makes For Healthy Kitties!
Best value, best wet cat food around. I have 3 cats ranging in age from 14 months to 7 years. My veterinarian told me early on that she and the vet techs play a secret game when new clients come in called “wet food/dry food” where they guess what the cat’s primary diet is based on their appearance alone, before the exam even takes place. And they are almost always right! That’s because cats fed exclusively wet food are healthier, slimmer, have shinier coats, brighter eyes, more energy and cleaner teeth! Not to mention the whole host of health benefits wet food only diets offer. My 3 love this brand, and I love how nutritionally complete it is. It makes keeping them on a wet food diet affordable, keeps their litter boxes much less stinky, and always arrives fresh and perfectly packaged.

Denting, but food is great
I really like this food because it has quality ingredients, always got a great price and it’s one of the few flavors my picky eater enjoys! However, the cans almost always arrive dented, even when I order from Chewy. I reached out to customer service and they did issue a refund, which I appreciated, but it’s something to be aware of when purchasing. I’m not sure if the formula changed, but one batch last year did upset my cats’ stomachs. They’ve been fine since, though. I just really wish the denting issue would get resolved!!

My cats won't eat this food!
I decided to buy this food as it was more cost-effective compared to the premium brands. It contained well-regarded ingredients without any fillers. I initially mixed a small amount with their usual wet food, and that seemed to work well. After a few days, I began incorporating more of the Daves food. I hadn't even finished a whole can, and I have three cats! By the time I was only offering Daves, they stopped eating the wet food and relied solely on their dry food. I also foster a feral mother cat and her kittens, and even she refuses to eat it! I don't speak cat, so I'm unsure what the issue is. You would think at least one out of four would enjoy it. I'm going back to Tiki Cat.

Sustaining !!!
So I have 4 cats, two domestic and two that I rescued from outside. For months I’ve been feeding them Urinary Tract Health Purina Canned food. At each meal they were scarfing two 5oz. cans and potentially one 3oz. can of the same brand. At every meal, the cats would race to eat fastest in order to get the next scoop of food from the cans. Two meals a day. This was costing me close to $400/month, and I don’t have that kind of $.So I bought this brand to save money and have healthier ingredients. Here are the immediate changes:1. No more racing to eat, they take their time and are much calmer.2. They are eating 8oz. at the most for each meal instead of 12-13oz. So we go through about 1-1.5 cans of Dave’s brand per day.3. I’ve noticed them sleeping better, more relaxed.4. At this rate I will spend less than $100/month on cat food instead of $400.5. My biggest cat has the most sensitive stomach, and he did not throw up when I changed the food from the one he was used to.Five stars and my bank account is grateful 🙏🏼

Good product but may contain dangerous bacteria
My vet recommended putting my cats on real food and suggested this one as an option. My vet is very much against kibble, and my cats wouldn't eat the frozen stuff. This they would eat. And for a while I saw improvements in their coats and they seemed very happy to get real food. But my one cat got deathly ill. I took him to the vet and he told me they found a bacteria usually found in birds & poultry. All my cats are indoor. Antibiotics saved him. I decided maybe it was just a one-off, and I would continue using this product but if it happened again that would be the end. Fast forward a few weeks and my other cat is sick after eating it. My guess is that the quality control here is not good. I mean it's pet food so quality standards likely aren't there. Sorry but I'm going to go back to kibble. Not worth the risk of killing my cats. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else's cats but worth considering. I'm sure hot conditions during the summer can certainly be a good breeding place for bacteria even inside the can.

The best ever!
This is the only food my entire household of cats and fosters consistently scarfs down enthusiastically. Not one cat has ever thrown it up either! I have tried everything. There’s always one cat that won’t eat whatever it is, or even gets sick. I have three cats with severe allergies as well. Everyone is thriving! Thank you so much for making my life so much easier!
