These traps are great. They function well and the way to load bait is really easy and clean. In less than 24 hours I had a catch. Really impressed that there was no mess or blood or anything. I would have given these five stars but after I started putting the traps out I found one of the “brand new” traps has clearly been used as there was leftover bait in it and the bait part was stuck because of it. Of all the things to get used, a mouse trap is DEFINITELY not it. Really disappointed with that and the idea that I handled used traps without knowing it and thinking they were new. That said they do work great and since I had already set some out I wasn’t going to return them.

Occasionally one of the traps in the bag does not work at all and has to be thrown away. Otherwise we have had great luck with these traps.

We have not had a problem with mice in 20 years in this house. This year, we started seeing signs they might be in our basement furnace/utility room. I researched how to trap mice and new style traps. I believe this 12 pack was a GREAT investment. I got 12 thinking they wouldn't last long. I WAS WRONG. These are tough little things. We have shelves with extra pantry items in there. It has not ever been a problem with canned goods, chips, cookies, boxed cereal etc. Apparently mice like peanut butter crackers in the 6 cracker snack packs. They snacked on multiple packages of crackers in a large open box 32 packages with about 8 packs left. Several packages were chewed open with one or two crackers partially eaten and the box littered with their tell tale poop. I removed one chewed on cracker package and put it beside the box. I set one trap outside the box by that cracker package leaving 4 partially eaten packages in the box. I put 2 traps inside the box. All traps had peanut butter in the bait tray. They are like a big clothespin about 1.5 inches wide with teeth on the top and bottom like a big rectangular open mouth. see picture First night all three traps had mice. Second night night one inside and one outside the box. The traps were VERY easy to set. I worried they weren't as strong as the wooden spring traps. However, I tripped one when I dropped it into the cracker box and it snapped so hard it "jumped" off the pile of cracker packages I set it on. It' clearly was powerful enough to get the mice from any angle they entered...most often it looked like they entered from the side. In the AM when I checked the traps I just had to pick them up like a clothespin, took them outside in the woods, squeezed the clothespin like trap open and dropped them there. I just set them again with the same peanut butter in the bait trap. They are easy to bait and wash. The bait tray comes out to fill and to clean without having to set the trap and you can open them like a clothespin without "setting" them so you can easily wash them without risking your fingers. One warning. They almost look like toys. While a young child couldn't squeeze them enough to set them, our 8 year old great grandson could easily do it and immediately started clipping them together like clothespins when we were unpacking them. He quickly discovered they clicked open and wondered why. Thankfully we were unpackaging them together so we demonstrated how they work together with a piece of paper as a mouse. The tooth marks in the paper were a visual warning of their power. See picture & video I'll be setting them all over to see what happens. I'm hoping we run out of mice SOON. REMEMBER to set them in the expected runways of the mice and they can be triggered easily from 3 sides! This really is a BETTER MOUSETRAP! Well worth the $$$. I think the only way I'll lose one is if (when) the kids and grandkids want to try them....they won't come back. Good Luck.

I’m not sure why some people say this product doesn’t work . But in my experience, it does . I haven’t had one mouse in this house for 5 years . I did store an old trap I used back then and baited it when I discovered I did have one . Not only did I have one, but this mouse I felt was doing everything except thumbing it’s nose at me when it zipped across the floor multiple times in broad daylight. The first time I saw it was actually in my peripheral view so I thought I was just hallucinating. I work night shift and thought my mind was playing tricks on me . But then it literally jumped up onto my coffee table scaring me and itself at the same time . We both jumped . So setting the old trap I thought I would come home to a dead mouse . Wrong . The bait was taken but no mouse . It never snapped shut . And worst of all I wasted my best provolone cheese ! I threw that trap out because obviously it was not working anymore . I wasn’t about to try to clean it . I need all my fingers . I found this product on Amazon and did order the 6 pack . It took just a few days , those few days seeing the little Devil and having to clean up those turds everywhere it went . This mouse was NOT very big physically, but it seemed huge in my eyes because it was so fast and aggressive . I love the fact this product has a way to bait the little cup inside without taking an appendage off in the process . There’s nothing worse than trying to vacuum your floor with only 8 or 9 fingers . My plan was to bait the trap on my night off, go into my bedroom with fan on and my audible book on so if it makes any noise I can’t hear it because I HATE hurting living things . I baited it with another small amount of cheese , and before I could get up to go to bed I heard this trap go into action . I actually witnessed it jumping up from the spring action and come back down . All I saw was a tail and half the body . This was not EVEN five minutes after baiting it . I went outside debating what to do . Reading some reviews stating the mouse didn’t die or stayed moving around for a long time I almost didn’t use this product . But after another 5 minutes I investigated it thinking I would find mouse parts scattered everywhere . I didn’t . I did however drop the mouse and trap into the trash . I did not want to pinch it open to scrape mouse guts off . I don’t want to see the results of my murder of Micky or Mini mouse . Call me a coward but it was a 2 week nightmare I needed to be rid of . I will set another tonight to make SURE that was the only mouse . These mice don’t come color coded or numbered or wear name tags saying “ I’m next “ . But I would DEFINITELY recommend this product for anyone having trouble eradicating mice . This was a long winded review but I had to do it because I feel I’m not being traumatized by something that literally was making me crazy .

I never write reviews but this product deserves 10 stars in my book! Hands down, these are the best mouse traps I have ever used and I've tried them all! Easy to bait, easy to set, no mess, no fuss, if you take it slow and easy with them you don't have to worry about snapping your fingers or even getting them messy while baiting them or emptying them! Winter is coming where I live and the mice are moving in. We have an area of our farm where the mice had decided they wanted to take over. I bought a set of these traps just to see if they'd work, I had tried every kind of trap and even similar ones to this from my local farm store and they caught a few but nothing like these. They are designed just a bit differently and WOW! Last night I set 12 traps, this morning I had 10 mice to empty out of them. Needless to say, I've ordered more! One helpful hint that I would suggest is to make a cone out of parchment paper, waxed paper, or something similar. Put some peanut butter in it and use it as a "piping bag" to squirt a little peanut butter in the spot for the bait. Easy as can be, no mess and the mice can't resist the peanut butter. They do snap hard so I wouldn't put them where a child or pet could get them, but other than that, this product is absolutely a winner!
