I can't believe I didn't know about this product years ago! I've been using the traditional heating pad you lay down on since I was young but this semi portable heating pad is a godsend. I can sit at my desk and heat up my back, use it while watching TV and even while I'm eating dinner if I was desperate enough.It is so comfortable, has a wide velcro strap that stays in place and I bet you can use it on arms and legs if you wanted.I can't say enough about it!Oh yeah, I forgot, the power cord is nice and long which is so convenient. Whoever designed this heating pad hit a homerun!! Thanks so much.

This heat wrap is very generous in size and is versatile in that me or my husband can use it around our waist to help lower back issues or apply it elsewhere on my body like my shoulder or knee. The heat wrap is comfortable to wear and easily adjustable. The wrap features a long cord which allows me to stay plugged in and have some limited mobility. While it is a decent heat wrap, a couple of changes in the design would make it much better.I am not sure if the product I received is defective or if others are having his problem.—Regardless of which of the 4 heat settings I use, the wrap does not seem to consistently hold the heat at a steady level. Also, if I unplug at the wrap so I can get up from my chair for a while, when I return and plug the wrap back in, the lights flash on the control and the wrap does not heat. I have to unplug at the wall socket and plug it in again at the wall socket to restart the wrap. It would be much more convenient if I could simply plug the wrap back in at the wrap without having to unplug at the wall socket.

This heat wrap is great. The strap makes sure it stays put no matter how much you move around. I had an older, cheaper back warmer without a strap and it was constantly sliding around.The heat doesn't get as high as my older back warmer. With the infrared waves it actually feels like it provides deeper relief.

The only difference between this and my 20 year-old $10 heating pad is that this only stays hot for a couple minutes. It's pretty useless.I'm gonna send it back.

I own and regularly use a variety of heating pads for chronic pain. This one is excellent quality, better than most in that regard. The four heat settings are nice, though of course a timer would be even nicer. I have tried other heating pads with waist bands that were too short, but this one has a nice, very long band, that I think would fit most people regardless of their size. But I will confess I felt a bit let down that this product just seems to be a regular old heating pad. The "infrared technology" isn't visible at all, but you just trust it's in there, doing... something. After using it for a few weeks my conclusion is that I don't think the infrared feature does anything significantly different than a regular heating pad. Still, if you're looking for a lower back heating pad with a waist strap, this seems to be a good one.
