I often find that the cheap cutters given away by shops are quite sharp and surprisingly effective but I've got nothing good to say about this. The V cutter is too shallow for a decent cut and its not sharp enough to cut clean. The straight blade is adequate but the thickness of the body to accommodate the V cut mechanism makes it difficult to be accurate with a shallow cap. Its also quite dangerous as the first few times I used it I found my finger naturally went into the hole for the straight blade instead of where it should. If you were drunk you could inflict a very nasty cut. There are some very good V cutters on the market. Save your money and save up.

Wanted a cheap ‘V’ cutter to see whether or not I like it compared to my usual straight or punch cut which I have routinely used. It’s cheap so didn’t expect too much but it really works well and it’s ended up being the cutter I keep in my ‘man-bag’ when out and about due to it having both a ‘V’ and a straight cut. For £5 you can’t go wrong.

Does not cut well and can ruin a cigar. Spend a little more or get a steel cutter instead

V cutter may as well be a v tearer as useless, the straight cutter is ok. Spend a bit more for a good v cutter.

The V-cutter on here is put the wrong way and therefore useless. The round cutter is fine
