Hands free cuddles ;)
I bought this as I wanted to be able to have my baby close to me while still running around after my three year old. I had tested a similar wrap that a friend had kindly let me borrow, so I knew how to tie this etc (which takes some getting used to but is quite quick one you get the hang of it). This wrap is lovely and soft, a great width and does not show up the baby puke too much! It is very cosy (only downside was that it was unbearably hot for me and bubs this summer just gone...but how often do we get scorchers like that in Scotland?!!) and my baby still quietens as soon as he is put in it at 5 months old.I walk to nursery with bubs in the pushchair, then pop him in the wrap to get my three year old sorted with his change of shoes etc. Many people have commented since he was only weeks old how alert, content and interested in everything my baby is; and I think that is because he has seen so much from the comfort of the wrap.I really wish I had used one of these with my eldest because he was a very unsettled baby and would have loved being near me on walks etc. The slings I had with him were hand me downs and very sore on my back. I have been known to carry my youngest for up to 7 hours at a time in this wrap without collapsing! I also frequently have the change bag on my back, my baby on my front and the preschooler on the reigns.. and trot off for playdates etc. When you take into account that I had pretty bad Pelvic pain in pregnancy it shows just how well distributed the weight of the child in the wrap is.It is also fab for breastfeeding, as I can use the folds of the wrap to cover up. (There are videos on Youtube that show different ways to do this, too). Great for the 'carpark feeds'!As my baby turns 6 months at the end of this month, I will soon be using the hip hold on the wrap. I love the fact that I can get use out of it for another 18 months at least, as it is lovely chatting away to a content little person and gaining acess to cafes etc that would be difficult to navigate with a pushchair.Delivery was quick and the wrap was well packaged and came with an instruction leaflet, but as I said before, there are also Youtube videos if you search 'Moby Wrap'

Fantastic product
I absolutely love this wrap. Such a simple design and idea but revolutionary! We have my son's old buggy but it is not suitable from birth so I thought I would give this a go, and I am so glad I did.It takes a little time to get used to putting it on, but after the first few times its very easy. My daughter always goes straight to sleep in it and is very comfortable and secure. Going round the supermarket is definitely not the chore it used to be with my son, he hated going in trolleys, even in his car seat. Also, although like most mum's I love to show off my beautiful baby, it's really frustrating having people sticking their heads into your trolley to coo over the baby when you just want to get out of there as quickly as possible (I HATE going food shopping)The sling does put people off as they really have to invade your personal space in order to see the baby!I had a baby bjorn and a ring sling for my son when he was a baby but I did not really get on very well with them. Especially the ring sling. The moby wrap is comfortable to wear and the weight is distributed beautifully, so no back or neck ache. I thoroughly enjoy wearing my baby in it and take pleasure from having her so close to me when out and about. From her point of view she is content and happy, and super relaxed being able to snuggle up and listen to my heartbeat. My little girl is now able to go into my son'd old buggy but as yet it has not been fished out of the garage. I think it may be a while yet...

A really comfortable wrap
Both my 3 month old and myself love this wrap. We have already tried a 'crotch dangler' type structured baby carrier which she absolutely hated. We wish we found it sooner! She is so content in it and settles in it when nothing else works! She even stays asleep when I remove her from it. The baby's weight is really evenly distributed across my back and shoulders. It is really the best type of baby carrier for a new born and once they are in the hug hold it holds their legs in the frog position which is the best way for babies. I also loved the colour and the closeness that you experience with your baby. The price is also very reasonable and it was delivered very promptly. I will definately be using this with my next baby from day 1!The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars was simply a personal thing. Because the wrap is so long it is impossible to put it on without it trailing on the ground. I just put it on at home and left it on while out and about, but that's just the nature of wrap baby carriers. Love it

brilliant for grisly babies and busy mums
This wrap is extremely useful for when your baby won't settle anywhere else and you need to get on and do a few things - my baby is only 4 weeks old and a little under the weather with a cough at the moment and very grisly. This wrap is brilliant for settling her though she is less keen in the evening - in the day she will sleep for hours in it. I also have a carrier which is less flexible to use and frankly harder to put on. Also the carrier is bulky and you can only really walk around with it - my baby's head wobbles a lot when I walk in it and can sometimes give her reflux from the jiggling. The wrap is far more comfy and the baby feels more stable in it (when she's asleep with her head against my chest) as her body is wrapped around my contours - I have a big bust which makes the carrier a tight fit as it's an inflexible structure. I've even managed a pub lunch with the baby in the wrap - with a carefully placed napkin, I managed a couple of hours without her stirring. It is a very long piece of material which makes it awkward to wrap but once you get the hang of it it's not difficult to tie, I just needed practice with the tension - either having it too tight to get the baby in or too loose so she sagged in it - looking at yourself putting it on in a mirror really helps get it right. For me this is a must have piece of equipment.
