It is gold and a nice quality product which I could get when I needed it for a price I could afford. I was able to use it but I would not purchase it again....so hard to apply and the bamboo tweezers in theory sound cool but I did not find them that user friendly although the gold did not adhere to them which is a huge plus. I was able to pick up the gold and transfer it to my baked good but terrible for any detail work. I think the sheets are more cost effective and user friendly but that last part could just be because I am used to sheets. I gave them 4 stars since they are what is advertised, it is not fair to take points away due to my own incompetence. I did remove a star since getting them out of the container was terrible....after the first bit off the top it was all or nothing. Also, the opening just did not seem big enough to use the tweezers effectively.

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. The quality was great. The gold was still in large enough pieces that I could place it easily. I used 2 tweezers occasionally to help tear it into smaller pieces. This was my first time working with gold and I will definitely buy this again. I appreciated that it came with one tweezers and some edible dust that I used on the top of the cake.

Elevates the dessert looks and easy to apply

These are beautiful but you HAVE to use the tweezers or they’ll dissolve on your fingertips so don’t touch them without the tweezers
