Knight and Day [DVD]

A few spoilers. This movie felt like a live action cartoon in places, as if Tom was trying to be Ethan Hunt when doing stunts but without the drama or suspense, Tom goes from one crazy situation after the next but it's as if he's rolling his eyes with something he could do in his sleep. The bad guys chasing after a ✌device✌ which in this case is a battery which never runs out of power (I know) & some humour which felt a bit forced, what I watched was an okay but nothing special action/thriller comedy with a lead character played by Tom who seems more or less invincible.The ending however was copied in Mission Impossible 6, both had Tom's characters ending up in a hospital bed in critical condition.While it made a change to watch a movie which was how movies used to be before the wokeness, we are talking 2010 here, it's unlikely I'll be watching this one again anytime soon, I thought The Tourist, which was also released in 2010 was a better movie. I can't give this one 4/5, so I chose 3 instead though this one is about 3 & 1/2 out of 5.

There's just something about this film that I really enjoy. It could be the fast pace action, the witty banter or the great story... But I think it has more to do with the fantastic acting of both Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. The two characters in this film really do make it great.

Loved it. Laughed out loud. I’m not a huge Tom Cruise fan - I haven’t seen all the MI series. But this is great. He was great as was Cameron Diaz and all the cast and crew. It reminded me of the 1970s Airplane movies in a good way.The director is a genius, the cinematography and the lighting is superb. The light on Diaz in the car journey... stunning.Wasn’t sure about the damsel in distress again (it’s so outdated) but as the movie plays out it’s so self deprecating that it works.

Great film Amazon and you didn't charge a extra fee to watch it !! you missed a trick there , normally you charge extra to watch some crap old film that's been on the TV a hundred times. Having said that its a great film , Tom Cruise an do no wrong always a good film with Tom. Hey I'm no film critic and I don't get paid for this review so just watch it and enjoy it .. Up to you.

Suspend your disbelief (totally), sit back, relax and enjoy an hour and three-quarters of rather silly fun.I have no idea what it was like on set, but Diaz and Cruise have some real chemistry on celluloid. A double act to be reckoned with, on a par with Cruise and Emily Blunt in Edge of Tomorrow (yes, the films are completely different.)I've seen a number of Cameron Diaz films, but this was the one that made me fall in love with her. Her not-so-ditzy-blonde portrayal is right on the money, and Tom Cruise plays his spoofed secret agent role with just the right amount of dead-pan.Unbelievable plot, not very evil villains, stunts and action sequences all over the map, this is a hoot from start to finish. Loved it.

... other than that it stars Cruise & Diaz. Nothing to do with "unlucky in love" June being set up on a blind date! Maybe that was the plot before it hit the cutting room floor. **Spoiler Alert** Instead this was a supposedly chance encounter (orchestrated by Cruise) where an FBI agent (Cruise) tries to get June (Diaz) unknowingly to carry a gadget through airport security and to travel on a different flight back. Mildly entertaining, totally unbelievable escapism: the low star rating was because the ending was rather lame.

Tom Cruise's films may be formulaic but they are usually extremely slick and entertaining. This was slick enough but a little too light-weight and frothy for my taste so it fell a tad short of his usual entertainment levels.. Not one of his best efforts but okay for a bit of mildly enjoyable escapism.

I bought this for my wife as he is a Tom Cruise fan, don’t know why, she has got her own Tom Cruise ( me ) What can I say it’s a great DVD came well packaged no scratches replaced well it was good value for money collected about the storyline but it’s a good film.
