I afforded this product a 3-star review, account the product not being stainless steel as listed by the seller. As for the quality, the spring mechanism seems robust.

I use these handy locks on sweatpants, scrub pants, shoe laces and sweatshirt hoodies. I initially bought them for my scrub pants so I could make a quick bathroom run without having to fumble with ties and also so the ties didn't come out in the wash (I really hate that!). I then discovered they worked great on sweatpants, hoodie ties and long shoe laces for my autistic son. Anything that makes his life easier is good in my book. They are tight enough that they don't slide at all but very easy to adjust. They even come in different colors!

Once I've had them longer and can confirm their lasting durability, I might bump my rating up. For now, 4 stars it is!

Read reviews but took a chance anyway. The holes are fairly small but with a little effort and the use of some tweezers you’ll be able to get most strings through. Originally bought them for drawstring on scuba gear bags and they work great!
