Strong Metal Curtain Track Cord Spring Tension Pulley - Child Safe Cord Guide -

I bought this to replace the existing plastic cord pulley which disintegrated and it is a big step up in quality! It is more solid, looks better and the pulley runs so much more smoothly. Easy to fit to the wall, as I could use the existing holes and plugs to attach it, but it would have been simple to drill a couple of holes to insert the supplied screws. Then attaching the cord was quick and easy, just extending the spring mechanism and sliding the cord around the wheel.

I was a bit apprehensive about buying this product to replace the broken plastic one that was fitted a few years ago. I was trying to figure out how I get the cord onto the pulley without having to dismantle the whole system. Well! It couldn't have been easier. I just slipped the cord under the lip and onto the spool, screwed it down and hey presto, it's sorted. The only thing is that the product didn't come with screws but I just used the existing ones. I would highly recommend this product. It's sturdy and durable and I believe it will last longer than the plastic version.

Haven’t used it as yet but looks to be far stronger than the original which was all plastic and which the dog managed to break while charging around the room

I was seeking a replacement for a plastic curtain cord tensioner. This looked a lot stronger and worth a try at the price. It was both very easy to fit and looks much sturdier that the plastic one I had to replace. Think I will get a second one and replace the second one before it too breaks.

Much better that the plastic tensioners which in most cases have a weak spot in the hinge of the cover for the pulley wheel. I am not sure about people complaining about no instructions as to how to fit the cord as it is obvious just from looking at the unit; there is a clip and the cord slips underneath that and on to the pulley with no screws, nothing to unclip or open. The screw holes in the base plate are marginally closer together than on the broken Swish tensioners they replaced but not enough to cause a problem as long as the screws were insterted in both existing holes before tightening to equally balance out the difference between them. All in all an excellent replacement which are easy to fit and so far have presented no problems.

It serves the purpose, works well, even if it is a little "loud". Easy to fit.

I needed 3 plastic versions replacing because they had cracked. I was looking for a better quality and this seemed to fit the bill and for a reasonable price. When i received them they immediately felt like they were more sturdy, being metal, and were very easy to install. There is a gap for the cord to slip through. Done, have a working replacement that looks like it will last much longer than the standard plastic versions.
