I bought a black-brown bookcase from Ikea, and made the boneheaded mistake of putting the finished edge on the top board facing the wrong way, which I didn't realize until I stood the bookcase up after I finished building it. At that point it was far too late to disassemble it and flip the board around, so I had a glaringly obvious strip of particle board at the top of the bookcase right where everyone would see it.I decided to try this tape, as it was the simplest and cheapest option I could find, and much easier to implement than buying a piece of trim or molding to try and cover up the non-finished edge. The tape color matched the bookcase perfectly, and the stickiness of the tape leaves me confident that it's unlikely to fall off over time (very much like a slightly-stickier version of duct tape).Once I applied the tape and stood back I literally could not tell it was there. Even knowing what I was looking for, and examining it carefully from a couple feet away, the taped edge was indistinguishable from the other shelves on the case. I'd tried regular duct tape before buying this, and that had the issue of reflecting light from certain angles, however this tape is sufficiently dull that it doesn't seem to have that issue. This tape absolutely fixed my mistake 100%, and saved me from having to give away a perfectly good bookcase.

I felt like this product did the job I needed it to do. After purchasing 3 different options, while this was the least textured like wood and felt the least quality of the group, the color was the most accurate and the adhesive was the best. It’s a fair price point and definitely super easy to use. I would say it should last well on my ikea bookshelves, covering up the mistake I make with the exposed pvc board.

This tape is amazing! I have been thinking about buying a new office desk. It would have been my third one and the only reason I would replace it is the same reason I replaced my old one, the desk is cheap and the color is just a thin layer of adhesive paper that rips and peels off easily. If a piece of scotch tape gets on it, it peels off. I had a very large section where the color had ripped off and it was just bare particle board showing. I covered the whole length of the desk because that is the part that peals the most because it's near the edge of the desk. I wish I had taken pics before because this tape transformed my desk so much that I now don't have to buy a new desk and this tape won't peel off. It's definitely more protective. I love it!

Worked perfect to cover a cord across the floor.

This is more to the brown color than it is to the black. I have a black tv stand and this is very visible where I patched it.

I bought this to patch a recliner that had some holes in the arm. It works really good on the arm which is flat but I'm having trouble getting it to stay stuck on the curved edges. This is a brown, almost black color which matches perfectly with my chair.

This wood look tape saved me so much time and money after my cat gouged up my door trim. I was very skeptical but thought what have I got to loose. Let me tell you, this matched my dark wood trim perfectly. It was so easy to use just measure and cut. It sticks and stays. I did use a wood marker on the cut edges just to help it blend better. Love this stuff!

Really happy with this tape. I used it on my IKEA Besta (dark brown) furniture and it was a very close match. I cut a hole in the furniture to make a cat entrance and used the tape to seal the gap. I still have tons left over in case I need to patch it over time. It was very sticky, my scissors need a good cleaning!

I needed to make a hole I made disappear without having to spend huge $. This worked perfectly and it blended in perfectly.

Unfortunately did not hold up outside on patio furniture. It’s too bad because it was a great match to the plastic weaved type material and went on nice and smooth and sticky but unfortunately didn’t stick after weeks.
