If you've come to this product listing looking for Bostik contact adhesive, then you've found it. Congratulations! If you're just generally looking for glue and don't know what Bostik contact adhesive is then product reviews are probably not the best place to start looking. If you want to know what glue to use for what purpose, go and look at a specialist website or look it up in a book. On the other hand, if you want to know what *not* to use this glue for, go and look at some of the one or two star reviews for this product and marvel at what people expect contact adhesive to do. Obviously Bostik is a well-known brand, and it's been around for a while, even though this newer 'dark' packaging is trying to look very serious and stylish in a way that no glue should ever really need to. Glue is not stylish or fashionable — I say the brighter and more ridiculous the packaging is, the more likely I'm going to be to buy it. This packaging is much more likely to get lost at the bottom of a toolbox or hidden on a dark shelf in the garage than any previous version, which seems like a bit of a silly move to me. Anyway, I realise I'm on my third (short) paragraph and haven't even reviewed the glue itself. All I really need to say is that the contact adhesive works exactly as expected and sticks well. Once you're past the (lack of) colour, the tube is precisely good enough to be useful and the price is simply what it is. Good value? It seems to be worth it and I'll probably buy it again when I've run out. If that doesn't seal it for you, then nothing will. Now go and read some of those negative reviews. They're probably more fun than this one anyway.

I use this glue for various jobs and always have a tube at home. It is easy to use. Dries fairly quickly and allows enough time before it sets. It is pretty strong but it does depend on the material you use it on. All in all, good stuff.

Good contact cement, sticks my leather projects like.....well....glue. The only issue is if you're using it on precision projects as the glue is very runny for contact cement, even the slightest upturn of the tube will resemble a 5 year olds nose on a cold January morning

This is quite the glue and more than once I've almost stuck my fingers together. So far I haven't found anything it won't stick together, although sometimes it requires more than the quoted 4 minutes provided in the instructions. One such experiment took about a day to stop lightly sliding about - but since then it's remained well and truly affixed. You only require the smallest of amounts and it starts working near instantly. It's a fantastic adhesive, but don't be me and nearly get your fingers stuck together on more than one occasion.

Sticks well. For good results it's critical to let the solvent evaporate so the surface goes tacky before you put the parts together.

Bought this to stick veneer that was coming off my desk to the chipboard inner base as super glue did not work. This did the job for that. It was not so useful however in sticking a sole that had come apart on my flip flops.

This glue is ok I brought it for a rip in my leather sofa it has stuck the rip together and seems to be holding well so far but it’s not clear it comes out clear but dried yellowish so it can be seen that the leather has been stuck together with glue so not the best finish it smells really strong to but isn’t that strong as I tried to stick wood with it and it wouldn’t stick it best to look elsewhere I would definitely say not worth it
