Perfect for tapas
This is absolutely ideal for cooking tapas dishes, Gambas al pil pil in my review picture. I used the simmer hob on my cooker as it fit perfectly. Please use oven gloves when handling as the cast iron gets very hot. Easy to clean.

Look the part but in the bin after 2 uses
Used first time for trial run roast dinner, went well, came out of the oven in expected condition. Washed well too. Used for Christmas day dinner; 10 minute pre-heat in the oven without food on 180 degrees, took them out and the coating on the dishes was bubbling and the dishes themselves were turning white and rusty. Spent over £120 on a mixture of sizes of these serving dishes and the majority (all bar 2) are now going in the bin after 2 uses. They look the part but my gosh, such poor quality and product life. Would never buy a single one more. Stick to ceramic dishes!

too small
I’m giving it a 3 star because they genuinely look lovely. It would have been a 1 star because of the size. The pic is very misleading and the sizes advertised are wrong. the board is used to give the impression the cast iron bowl is bigger. The actual size of the cast iron bowl is 12cm x 12cm (4.7 inches) not big enough by a long way for a lasagne, maybe some sort of tapas dish could fit, side of baked beans.

Lovely little thing for baked casserole
Nice little casserole dish for baking camembert. Arrived in good condition, no signs of rust anywhere and so far seems to be seasoning in well. But like all cast iron cookware, you do need to treat it properly, not like any other pot or pan. Follow the instructions and it should be OK. looking forward to many years of use.

Perfect Camembert baking dish
Nice product, standard Camembert fits well. Talk of rust on some reviews! Instructions say “Oil all over and bake for two hours!” Did that and it’s fine. Also oiled the wood base with butchers block oil. Like any cast iron it needs care. After use cleaned up easily. Just bought a second as a present.

Pay a bit more and get better quality dishes.
Very sturdy and looked good. Marked easily after first use and seemed to “rust” while waiting to be washed between courses. Smelled terrible of rusty metal. Scrubbed and dried on a radiator to prevent further rusting. Not sure I’ll use them again due to the smell and possible food contamination. These dishes are not sealed and the metallic odour emitted from them after use is horrid and off putting.
