It should probably be stated up front that these "opal" colour earrings resemble neither genuine pearls nor opals, nor do I believe they were made with that intent. Instead, these look like large, luminescent, soap bubbles or miniature iridescent garden gazing balls in earring form. They are not subtle, but they are both fun and beautiful!I love that they are much lighter in weight than one would expect for the size, and the snapping clasp seem to be sturdy enough to last. It's easy to tell when they are firmly closed, which leads me to believe they are not likely to be easily lost.My one complaint is that you have to take it on trust that the metal beneath the 14k gold layer is sterling silver: there is no mark to that effect (at least none I could find), and as someone with severe metal allergies this makes me very uneasy.With that said, I do love this set. They had been on my wish list for many months before I pulled the figurative trigger, and I have no regrets.

I was hoping to love these earrings, but gold tone is an unnatural yellow color. I like the big pearl but it’s rather heavy and pulls down on earlobe. Hard to clasp and after wearing twice already bent and now hard to line up.

They’re so pretty! Definitely kinda big, but I like that! I’d give them as a gift, to myself apparently. They seem pretty well made, I can see a small glue bubble at one place but it’s not visible when I wear them so whatever. Easy to put on, a bit fiddly to latch until you get the hang of it, I feel like they’re a good value for the money. I might get them in a couple more colors.They have not Irritated my sensitive ears, which is really nice for the money

I have been wearing them everyday since I received them. They are easy to put on, the clasp is firm and they stay on. I have a lot of very expensive pearl sand these blend right in. I have already ordered more.
