We have a Miniature Poodle weighing about 16 pounds. She doesn't like traveling in the car unless she is in someone's lap or she is in a cage or crate. Our wire, home crate is a little too large for easy car traveling, so we gave this crate a try. The result? Total success. She is perfectly happy to travel now, and the crate is easy enough for us to move that it is now her "upstairs" crate at home.This crate pops together in minutes, but is still reassuringly sturdy. We haven't collapsed it since putting it together, but it looks to be just as easy as assembling the crate. The 27 inch size is great for smaller dogs to feel protected without being cramped. We travel back and forth from Montana to California frequently. We have two Boxer dogs and two cats. For several years we put the cats in a large carrier with sandbox in the back seat of my truck and the dogs in the bed with a camper shell. Last year the weather warmed up and we had to move the dogs into the cab of the truck on the second day of our journey which was nine hours of misery putting it mildly. This year we decided to take two vehicles and our large cat carriers would not fit in the second vehicle. So, we bought this carrier which would fit and was still large enough for cats with sandbox. Well made and easy to assemble, plus easy to fold up and store when not in use.

This crate does not meet airline standards, no matter what the statement said in the product description, it just won’t work for commercial airline at all. Description and images are very misleading. Amazon please pull your Andon cord!We tried to check in our dog on an Alaskan Airline flight, got rejected for the crate having two doors (back and front doors making it collapsible, deemed as unstable structure). And we had to rebook the flight next day. What a horrible nightmare when you tried to travel , never mention the extra expensive Uber pet rides to/from airport wasted.Crate itself is quality one. Very easy to collapse. Good for storage. Will work in all other use cases other than flight.

We have been using an all wire crate when we travel with our little 15 pound Malshi. I have great difficulty putting it up and taking it down. My teen sons have to do it. As a widow, I know my sons won’t be around that much longer. I needed to find a travel crate I could manage entirely on my own.My pup scratched a soft-side dog carrier to the point it no longer contained my dog. This crate is just the ticket! The set up is the easiest on the market as collapsing hard side crates go. It is a bit narrow compared to his wire crate, but not uncomfortably so. The length, however, is longer or the same size as the wire crate.I wouldn’t use this as my everyday crate, but it is not such a cramped space it couldn’t be used that way. I just prefer my pups to have roomier space while we are out of the house. It’s perfect for our purposes traveling though.

I needed a sturdy collapsible kennel for a medium to large dog. I worried that canvas wasn't sturdy enough to stand up to him in the long run.This seems very durable and able to stand up to a boisterous dog. With the addition of the wheels I can move it easily without having to carry it.I also like that it offers him much more privacy than a collapsible wire crate.

This product is more than adequate for our needs but remember it is totally plastic, so durability is unknown at this time.We purchased the large size. Although, our golden retriever is just pup, we feel it will suit our plan to used it when we stay at a hotel or a VRBO overnight. It will simply serve as her own nighttime bed and not a holding pen.I like the lighter weight of the product and the ability to easily fold it when storage is an issue.My one suggestion is when purchasing the accessory travel kit, insist on getting two locking wheels and that all 4 wheels are rotating wheels rather than the standard set of wheels. I received two wheels that rotated but did not lock. The remaining two wheels, used in the rear of the crate, did not lock or rotate making the crate drag when making turns.When requesting locking wheels, Mirapet responded by sending two of these overnight free of charge.I expect good customer service and Mirapet did not disappoint.Their response was excellent.
