I bought for my granddaughter. If it takes batteries they were included so I don’t know what size they are.

I purchased for a gift, but I don't believe the clothes are removable.

Q: Do the lights shut off after a certain length of time or do they stay on untill manually turned off?

In try me mode they only stay on for a few seconds and in on mode they stay on for several minutes but yes in both modes they go off on their own.
