Replacement for oil pastels for outlining
These are easy to use, just like a pencil. They are truly black. They work really well as long as I can make sure students do not pull the strings.

THE PERFECT SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM ????
DIAMOND PEEL OFF CHINA MARKERS (YELLOW).lf you have a Bible (or any paper) and need a HIGHLIGHTER, this could be the solution. This marker is a STRONG yellow color that doesn't bleed because it is a DRY marker. The tip is soft enough that it doesn't try to tear the paper. The color goes through the entire length of the pencil so it will last for a good while. This is a DRY WAX PENCIL marker. If you used a HUGE amount on facing pages, they might try to stick together a bit. But, I don't see this as a real problem.Overall, this marker seems just about perfect for use with a Bible.

Easy to sharpen, but some breakage
I’ve liked using these in my elementary art classroom. They are much easier to peel/sharpen than other brands I have tried, which saves me a lot of time. We have had issues with some pencils breaking in half while the kids are using them, but the ease of sharpening still makes up for the occasional broken pencil.

Great
I ordered these to complete a number amount that I needed for a project I have bought 36 pencils by another sailor and brand and these 12 pencils truck them off had I had known how well they worked I would have bought several packs and not buy from the other seller these are amazing the color is very vibrant the waxing them is very soft so it's easy to begin writing and they wipe clean they hold fast and they last a long time they are worth every penny built to last.

Old School
My husband ordered these for his pump test. This is an old school way of marking the pressure of the tank prior to starting the pump. Then you can easily see the change in pressure. It whips right off the truck. Shipped quickly. Good quality.

More waxy than greasy - poor writing on glass.
I got this in replacement of another "grease" marker to write on glass. The first was basically a crayon of wax. This really isn't that much better. Not what I have used in the past which worked very well marking glass jars. Sad and disappointed.

In the classroom
We use the Orton Gillingham reading program in my school. We needed a red and green creation for each student, but they're learning to holds a pencil properly so I wanted something closer to a pencil for them to do their red words. These have filled that need beautifully!

They write on styrofoam great
I like that they write on styrofoam. They don’t write as good on chalkboard, can’t see the writing as much, too fine and pale.

Work well for a narrow range of applications.
I would guess that anybody who is in the market for china-marker, grease pencils, will know that they need them for. One intriguing feature that works well is, that more wax can be revealed, by tearing away a helical strip of paper, which has s string to get it started. What I do not see these as good substitutes for is, carpenter pencils, because they are probably not accurate enough. However, when revealing more wax, these produce less of a mess than carpenter pencils do.There could be a store clerk somewhere, who needs to be able to write prices on porcelain, glass, or other surfaces too smooth for conventional writing implements cannot write on. And then, once the items have been sold, the marks can just be wiped off with a dry cloth...Dirk
