I washed it on 30c with quite a few colour catchers and Dylon colour detergent. Clearly not enough colour catchers as the zip turned dark grey the writing slightly grey but worst of all was the furry hood lining which was a horrible grey. So this is what the instructions say to do. Soak the item for between 4 hours and overnight. As soon as I put it into the solution the water turned brown! I’ve put some colour catchers into the water in the hope they will catch the stray dye. I’ll update this review with the results. Dr Beckmann's Colour Run Remover has restored the original whiteness.My own difficulty concerned the sheer bulk of the duvet cover, as the product is really suited to small items. You mix a white powder with 6 litres of hot water and soak the affected item. I used a large bucket but I still had a problem trying to fully submerge the duvet cover in what is, after all, a relatively small volume of liquid solution. Following an overnight soak, traces of blue still remained, so I put the items in the washing machine and gave them a full-cycle wash, using another powder sachet instead of a detergent. This completed the job.The pack prescribes the washing machine treatment as an alternative to soaking but I doubt whether this alone would have been enough. Even if I had used both sachets to provide 12 litres of solution for the initial soak in a bigger container, bits of the duvet cover would still probably have been missed.
