Absolutely George - unless you planned on cutting the top off the cartridge and smearing it on? In which case, no, it isn't. I'd still recommend the gun though - it stops you getting pink grip on your hands, and this stuff burns skin like you wouldn't believe.

I would not use to fix shelves to walls I would use brackets this is used to fit skirting boards and architrave and it would not be a good idea to hold any weight on shelves as these should be fixed you can get some nice shelf brackets now that are not unsightly hope this helps

Personally if it were me, I wouldn't risk it. I've had this gripper fail on fence spikes attached to a brick wall. They were only plastic. I'd always attach a mirror with appropriate screws and wall plugs. Also, if you ever want to remove the mirror you'll likely damage the wall behind it.

Although the product will bond to PVC, concern will be if the PVC is 'thin', bleeding from the solvent adhesive can be witnessed. With any adhesive, abrasion of the PVC surface will aid the bond.
