I needed something to keep the fireplace grate secured from curious pets, and this seems great so far. I almost purchased the 4lb version of this product, but ultimately decided to go with the heavier model for added security; this was definitely the right decision for me, since the larger model is still quite small in stature. Bought this door stop to hold my outdoor side gate open while carrying things into the backyard from the front driveway. It's perfect. Heavy enough and tall enough to do the job and keep the gate open and not scratch up my vinyl $$ gate. It stores out of the way easily. That little grab handle makes it easy to use.

Looks good and perfect weight to keep wind from blowing door shut in Northern Arizona

This really does the job. However be careful if you use it at the top of the stairs to keep your screen door open. We had a windstorm and, since it is round, it fell over, and rolled down the stairs. It picked up enough speed to bounce and take a few chunks out of my landlords new stone stairs. I suggest, to the makers, to make a version of this that is square.

Perfect for heavier doors.
