Needs setup by Pro but amazing value
I have 2 of these now for my girls. They are cheap and need to be setup by someone who knows what they are doing (their teacher is a close friend) but will do fine for a first violin. Nothing broken but the bridges needed adjusting with sandpaper (one by a lot!) and the strings and wood will take a while to settle as with any violin. For the price the 1/2 size violin is selling at (<£15) I can’t see a reason not to! Very happy with my purchases!

The actual instrument was mouldy!
The actual violin is good for what you pay for it. The first violin we ordered arrived chipped and with a loose bridge but after re-stringing it held the notes fine. You just need to push the pegs in firmly and also give the wood and strings time to settle for a few days (to get used to the house temperature). However the bow of the original violin and the replacement one that amazon sent us was completely covered in mould!! The mould was growing off of the wooden bow and had grown into the hairs of the bow too. The bow was also rusted. My on guess is that the warehouse which made this batch of bows was wet and some damp got inside the packaging. As such it was completely unusable and since both the original and replacement were in such bad shape (and our time will be wasted in returning the items) I can not recommend this to anyone.

Good violin, build needs a little more attention.
Got this for my 6 year old son who has begun violin lessons. It came well packaged and was good to use. From a build quality perspective this needs a little attention as the bridge came off while tuning the violin. Apart from that it is good. Recommend you purchase extra strings as this will break from usage...

Exceeded my expectation
Nice instrument for this fantastic price!! It exceeded my expectation. The sound is really good - perfect for a beginner or intermediate young violinist. Children grow quickly and might soon grow to the 4/4 size, so it's good not to spend a fortune for this size. Highly recommended!

Great learner violin
My grand daughter loves this violin, she is learning at school and said its the same as the school violins.

Looks good but quality not great!
I bought this for my 9 year old daughter who is very new to the violin. It looks lovely, very modern and the case is great, that's why I've given it 3 stars. I think it's OK for the money but on the downside it had to be completely restrung before you could get any where near a nice sound out of it. We are lucky that we have a generous music teacher who was able to do it and didn't charge us for the strings. If I'd had to buy strings I probably wouldn't have been so generous with the ratings.

Bad quality violin - waste of money!
Really poor quality violin that cannot be tuned. If you are planning to but this for your child to learn on, don’t. After replacing it once due to the bridge missing, the replacement isn’t any good either. Just that we can no longer return it now. Avoid.

Fab starter violin
Bought for my 6 year old to learn on. Nice quality for the price and not a bad sound. Would recommend as a beginner instrument.
