Shock Doctor Kid's Gel Max Flavour Fusion Mouth Guard

This is a great gumguard. However I bought a junior one for my 9yr old daughter (She had one previously) bit chewed it, so I thought a straight replacement of a junior one would be simple. However the one we received was exceptionally small. Even smaller than the junior one we had bought instore. Perhaps it would be better to include measurements of the junior ones sold online, to better decide on their size (either measurements or a 'actual size photograph). I would say this would have been to small.foe my daughter even when she was 5.

This gum shield is good quality and comes with full instructions on how to fit and a handy case to keep it clean. It took us about 6 goes to get it to fit but we did in the end.

My daughter finds these are the most comfortable mouth guards to wear. Not too bulky and no gagging! Easy to mould and work well.

Very comfortable but after week break down in pieces

Bought as a replacement for a gumshield that I've been using for boxing and TKD. Up until now I've used a football gumshield, and I train with some meaty guys, so it got split in half very recently. I ordered this as a replacement and it's perfect. Takes 14 seconds in hot water to mold to your mouth, and grips your top teeth without having to bite down. Excellent level of protection too.

The picture form seller clearly shows the Gel max has the tether hole. The item I got does not have this. Useless to me without the ability to tether.

I ordered a junior size mouth guard and when it arrived we immediately thought it was way too small. We went through all the steps of boiling water, iced water etc, but didn’t fit so repeated the steps and on the second attempt ..and it fits perfect. Looks small in the package but as it shapes and molds it fits just perfect.

The second we bought. Needs quite a lot of heat and REALLY biting down to make any impact. We had to do it twice for my 7 year. We just used hot water in a cup from the kettle.

I read EVERY last review and I decided it sound great and this should be fine. I received this item, in pink, in 4 days, I'm in NYC, which is 2-6 days before it stated It would be delivered so that was nice. This item was packaged great. This guard did not come with a case so please be aware of that. Just by opening up the package it looks small but ones I measured it up to my daughter's teeth it was a perfect size. My daughter is 5.5 years old with 1 teeth missing on top, 1 growing in and a loose tooth (yes all on top) and she sleeps crazy and she grinds her teeth sometimes during the night. The molding process was VERY easy; put guard in boiling water for 90 seconds, dunk it in cold water for 1-2 seconds, put in mouth and mold with hands then press down with teeth. My daughter found that 2 seconds in cold water didn't do much because it was still hot to her. It was in her mouth and when she is to bite down to mold fully she couldn't do it long because it was still hot, to her. It got messed up and we had to do it a second time and by the time we did this the guard looked very used, like she was using it consistently for a month all day everyday. I find that there's no way I can try the molding for a 3rd time. So this is a waste of money and time. After I done followed all the directions to the T. You can tell it's a very good product and the quality is great but the molding part is a problem. I wish I could do it again but without dishing out more money. Smh. Just not fair. Sheccan't use it now. :-(

Nonostante abbia seguito la procedura per condizionare il prodotto (per due volte) questo non prende la forma dell'arcata superiore dei denti, e ricade inevitabilmente sui denti inferiori.

Muy buen material ys e ve duradero el plástico esta muy cómodo, recomendaciones al usar: calienta agua primero que este hirviendo, luego colocar la pieza en el agua (no se pegara, no te quema la boca no te preocupes) pero solo 10 u 11 segundos por que el plástico se pondrá aguado/suave (no mas tiempo por que se hará mas chico y dependerá de tu tamaño de boca) luego introduce en tu boca (no te quemara) y muerde fuerte para que el plástico suave se amolde a tu boca, espera unos 30segundos o mas hasta que se enfríe el plástico y listo quedara amoldado a tus dientes. Después corta los sobrantes para que no lastime tu paladar, corta a como sea cómodo para tu uso. Lo use para dormir también, solo si es grande por el tema que sufro de Bruxismo, no es tan cómodo para dormir por que si es grande para prevenir impactos.
