I bought this boomerang for my boyfriend's birthday. It arrived a little overpackaged (in a giant box!), but on time and in good condition. It is about 25cm and solid plastic. He absolutely loves it - we had a bbq on his birthday and everyone was having a go, plus he has been out to the park every day to play with it! Personally I don't have the patience or throwing skills to master this, but he already manages to get it to come back to him, although catching it is another trick. You do need a large open space free from people/trees to do this - it goes pretty far and fast and it could do a bit of damage if it wacks you in full flight. Good for a bit of fun exercise as every failure to get it to come back involves fetching it from wherever you flung it! Excellent value for money. Not sure how well kids would get on with it as it requires quite a bit of patience, but a nice toy for grown-ups.

Needed the product. A scant review of the comments gave me the ompf to just order the thing. Product turned up promptly and as expected. Didn't read the instructions. Just excited to try this out with the kids. It's just a boomerang thing - how hard can it be. Oh boy. All the mistakes made are clear now. Firstly, this is a decent product. The problem isn't the booma but the person throwing the booma. After a 'fun' filled session in the park throwing this thing and watching it arc in the air in all kinds of interesting and dangerous directions it quickly dawned on me i'm that numpty that's too cocky to assume how to throw something like this. Give it time and I'm sure it'll be great.

Fantastic product, worth every penny of its (pretty tiny) price. The one caveat is that it's extremely hard to catch, but that's all part of the challenge. If you use it on a windy day then, unless you're in Kansas or the Canadian prairies - ie unless you're on a flat plain and have a clear line of sight for several miles - you will lose it. For sure. Once the wind takes it it flies an incredible distance (and by no means always comes back - mastering that art takes a lot of practice). But if you do it carefully and on a relatively calm day, then you'll eventually get it to return right back to where you're standing. Catching it is another matter. It can clip your fingers in such a way that it really hurts, which is a problem for kids and, let's face it, most adults too. I eventually resorted to wearing gloves! That did the trick. Even then it's hard to catch but at least you have all your digits intact. Bottom line: it's great fun.

You're probably not throwing this thing in high-wind - make sur to get a few rubber bands to give 50% reliable catches in good conditions and 100% of the time in PERFECT conditions. Don't expect to get it first try as it took me like ten thousand with a 99% failure rate before i figured out to just put rubber bands on it to slow its flight down and then started having the 50% success rate, then the 100% on a perfect day where it was so easy i started making fun of it and flipping with it. I've thrown and caught these things consecutively with three at a time! epic clip! No one who I've given the short tutorial to has put in enough effort to do a throw and catch. It won't work in high wind and will very well in thundering rain - no rain excuses! I'm 24. Been using it for like 6 years.

While it takes some practice it is possible to make this come back. However, none of the children who have tried it have been able to make it return. That is not to say they didn't have fun, it makes all sorts of interesting moves in the air which were fun to watch. Howevee, if you are looking for a super easy boomerang, then maybe this isn't it.

Easy to use and much easier than the conventional boomerang. Grandchildren get lots of pleasure from them

Kids love to play with it and the dog is bringing it back. Everyone is happy

Well let's hope this boomerang is more loyal than our last one. The last boomerang we had has decided to live in the top of a tree in the woods. New ruled for my 12 year old to obey. Do not throw the boomerang in or near the woods. This new boomerang looks different because it has 3 arms so let hope for lucky 3 . It looks well made so should last fingers 🤞
