Like another review I bought two sets of these shelves for my airing cupboard, we need to rarely access the tank so a built in option wasn’t for me, also it was me that built these so the easiest option were these great shelves. They are bamboo so smooth and shiny so seemingly water resistant which is great for a bathroom, they are very easy to assemble I got a spare screw with each unit and you get a ‘key’ to screw them in place. They didn’t take long to build and are very sturdy and secure, I had one in front of the other so it doubled the shelf depth which was great as I wanted to put 3 wooden boxes in to hold all those spare shampoo shower gels sponges etc that seem to accumulate. I also managed to store 5 5L bottles of hand wash body wash shampoo conditioner and body lotion, along with 48 double rolls of loo paper, all my towels 18 large packs of baby wipes so I am very pleased. The shelving I had before were black metal cubes clipped together with plastic clips which never fit the space properly and kept collapsing which drove me nuts. These units though take a large amount of weight fit the space perfectly and are very sturdy. I definitely recommend them.

honestly a lot better than expected!! it’s great value for money, easy to assemble, very sturdy and can hold a lot of weight. i use it for my books, plants, speaker and salt lamp and it holds them all with ease. it looks great in my room!!

Having had my ancient standard boiler replaced with a combi I was left without an airing cupboard. Had a dual fuel towel rail fitted in the cupboard so it can be used all year round. This slatted shelf unit is ideal and happily a great fit for the space I wanted it to go into. There are extra pre drilled holes so you can choose the height and space you want between the shelves (and enabled me to leave the electric control for my radiator free). I found the easiest way to assemble it was to screw all the shelves down one side and turn it over and do the other side (rather than doing each shelf on both sides one by one as per the instructions). The screws are the allen key type (which is suppled) so very easy to put in.. Four stars rather than five simply because it would have been good to have the option to buy extra shelves and if you have lots of towels, bedding etc you want to store rather than just airing for a day or so it's may not be big enough. And as mine is hidden in a cupboard I don't mind that the screws and additional holes show but it would have been nice to have some wee caps to cover those up because other than that it certainly looks good enough to be in a displayed area.

Very pleased with the item. Easy to put up on my own. Kit included the allen key and strap and fixings to secure to wall if needed. Very sturdy.

My intension for the shelf unit was to house my radio, and external equipments including semi-heavy power supplies. This it does very well to my surprise, as I had no allusions to what I though might have been, a flimsy product before purchase. However I am pleased to say, it's much more sturdy than I expected... the strength comes from the bamboo and it's construction, the way it's been laminated to produce flat sections. My primary concern was the depth, as I am using it as free standing; so decided to make two foot blocks to stabilise the front to back movement. See images of this simple modification; it's not elegant but practical for my use. I found two of the shelf sections had very short pre-drilled screw hole depths; and if left it would have split the bamboo. In fact another buyer has mentioned that same problem ! So best to check each shelf hole depth, before you start putting the shelf together. Out of five, two fell short of the 35mm depth I measured. Thus, I re-drilled the two for same depth as the other shelves, and took this a stage further. To lessen the chance for any pre-screw hole to split, by enlarging the holes to 4.5mm at a depth of 12mm each. This allowed the screw length to start gripping at the last 20mm of it's length, in to each shelf end section. I had no issues with splitting, and believe by doing this, I adverted damaging the two shelves and possibly, the others by a little extra inspection and work to saved the day. The two foot blocks, were recycled from an old table it's legs. Cut to length, then simply screwed to the side vertical panel sections, flush to the same floor ends of the panels. I placed under each block large round felt pads, to take up any un-even floor surface and bed-down, on the load weight of my radio equipments. For the price, it was worth every penny and a delight; turned out to be well made; the finish is free from any nasty bamboo splinters, although it's likely you might encounter the odd few over the production run, of so many in manufacture. I highly recommend these shelf units; as others have found out for storage, that can take a good deal of weight as well; but note if you need to use the supplied strap, to fix in to a wall or wood support.

Finishing is not good. I can see lot of steams coming out. It will hurt to you if you're touching the edges. Need to be careful alway

Really good, it can't hold much weight but is enough for a plates, cups, and such, very good value. It looks great and is easy to assemble
