Messy but fun for the budding paleontologist
My dino obsessed 8 yr old daughter loved it. Yes! its Messy! And dusty-very! Almost wish I had bought in the summer months so that she could "excavate" the dino outdoors. But she is a careful kid and besides we put the whole kit on the floor on some old newpapers. It kept her entertained for a few hours for a few days. Its supposed to take time and patience for a budding dino hunter. She put the skeleton together in a minute though. Maybe a bit too old for this.

Loved by fossil mad six year old!
This is a review for all of the Kidzlabs dinodigs. I origninally bought the T-Rex for my son and he loved it so much this is the third one! They are time consuming enough to keep a little boy busy on a rainy day but not so difficult that he can't do it himself and gets bored. It provides loads of excitement when he sees a bit of bone appear! It may take a few days to complete as he keeps coming back to it. They do make a terrible mess though so be warned that pink dust ends up all over the place even when you try to contain it on a tray or similar! Overall a great toy and a good buy.

good fun for me and grandson
Takes quite some time to free the bones from the clay, and some accidents are nearly unavoidable. The process itself is fun and has made a great impression on the boy.It would be nice if the bones were a bit more scattered and the clay a bit more crumbly. All in all, a very good idea, the product could be developed a bit further.

A great dinosaur
My seven year old grandson has now had a few of these. He really enjoys doing it. After he has a nice little dinosaur on a stand to keep. I think it’s made him more patient and learning to tap it gently so not to damage it as made him control the tools given better. A really nice item.

Great fun.
This kept my six year old son busy for ages. He spent alot of time digging and then cleaned all the parts himself. I did have to help him a little with putting it together. All in all great value and lots of fun.

Bought for grandson of 6 who spent some time digging it out. Not sure if he finished it! Found it hard to dig as it was time consuming so kept him occupied for a while.
