Fantastic watch

2ns one purchase for my dad as ge likes to have a back up. Easy to set up abd a great price

The watch is attractive if a bit bulky. Accurate due to it's radio link and the voice is a novelty. Time is given to the minute. There is an alarm. The instructions for the watch are are complex. The advice in the manual is that the battery should be replaced by a professional (but does give the details of the procedure) and here this clearly implies that this replacement procedure is above the level of the "guy on the market". Also the battery in the watch is a "demo" one so don't expect it to last too long. Given the low cost of batteries this seems a bit mean. This is no ordinary watch. If you just want to know the time, perhaps look elsewhere!

I bought this watch as part of my dad's 90th birthday present. Sadly he suffers from Macular Degeneration and can't see the face of normal watches. I wanted a watch that looked elegant and not obviously different and was also easy to use and take on and off. The watch comes in a nice presentation box and is fitted with a good quality leather strap. The watch is radio controlled and was easy to set up, I just left it out of the box for a night (As per instructions!) And the watch altered itself to the correct time. It is thicker than a normal watch because of the electronics that provide the voice which tells the user the time, but this extra thickness is not noticeable once the watch is being worn. There are holes in the back which act as speakers so be aware that the watch is not waterproof! The audio time signal is activated by pressing the top button on the watch surround, the voice is male, very clear and loud enough to hear even with the TV on. The lower button is for an alarm, but we have had no need to use this as yet, so I can't comment on it. My dad is absolutely thrilled with the watch and it really has made a difference to him, especially at night when he was unable to tell the time at all. I would highly recommend this watch for those that suffer from sight loss.

Good watch easy to set up

This is really good. I used to have a Casio radio watch so I knew what a great feature radio control is. The watch always tells the correct time. The voice is male and it does sound a little robotic. If you are not hard of hearing, the voice is at a good volume, without being too loud. It's simple, just press the A button, beside the number 2 and this watch will tell you the time. It was super easy to set up. There is a large font leaflet that explains everything. I pressed the A button until the second hand reached and stopped at 12. Leave it to do its thing and then the watch is updated and all the hands will birl round until it is at the correct time. It really is as simple as that. I bought the watch because my eyes are not as good as they used to be. It's easier to hear the time rather than read the time. If I am awake during the night, I can hear the correct time without opening my eyes. On the downside, the strap is very short, something a lot of reviewers have commentated on. I have mine set with only one hole to go. It would be a shame if you bought this and ended up buying a new strap for it. The makers should seriously think about a longer strap. I've knocked off a star because of the short length. I wouldn't recommend wearing this in the shower. It says it's water resistant but I wouldn't take the chance. There are four holes on the back of the watch for the loud speaker. You can eliminate the risk of water damage by simply removing the watch first. All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase. It is ideal for those with poor vision. The real selling point is that the voice tells you the most accurate time there is.

Upon receiving the watch it was running nearly two minutes fast. I verified this by checking it against the speaking clock and another radio controlled time piece. The peculiar thing with this item is you have to place it on a window sill in a certain way overnight and it apparently adjusts itself to the correct time at 3am. You verify if it has done this by clicking one of the buttons 4 times. It then tells you whether it has updated to the correct time or not. I did this the first night and in the morning it said the watch had indeed updated, but it was still running two minutes too fast! Then when the clocks went back on the 27/10/24 it failed to adjust to the correct time despite following all the instructions to the letter. You can adjust the clock face manually but it will not change the audio part so the watch will still announce the incorrect time. The other thing that struck me as it was not obvious in the photos, this is not a slimline watch. The face is quite deep, almost 1cm. So it looks like a cheap and nasty watch, in addition to performing like one! Fortunately I’d bought it through Amazon and not one of those Sunday supplements so the customer service was pretty good. They refunded without any quibbles. Not a product I would recommend. Bizarre the way you have to update it unlike other watches/clocks that constantly update themselves to the correct time. Not suitable if you work nights either.

Buscaba un reloj de este tipo pero, no me gusta mucho, no es que sea muy buena calidad y es como si le ocurriera algo, al final le tengo que poner yo la hora, calidad precio no es ni de lejos correcto.
