Best gimbal in this price point, love it.
Having read some negative reviews, here are my tips:1) This only has one axis of stabilization. Don't buy it if you want all 3 axes stabilized.2) The remote (located in the handle) needs to be charged before use. Raise the mount, push the remote out with your thumb, and charge with the same USB cable - charging the gimbal will not charge the remote.3) I had success pairing the remote with all of my devices: Pixel 3, Blackberry KeyOne, iPhone XS, and iPod Touch (7th gen). I had to un-pair my Blackberry from another device to connect to this remote, so try removing other paired devices if it's not working on your Android.4) The gimbal head will swivel into a default position. If your phone is upside down when this happens: turn it off, take your phone out, turn your phone 180 degrees, and put it back in. Also, single-pressing the button on the head will rotate the head, and the remote can rotate it also. (also just remember that the charging ports of the gimbal and your phone should be facing the same way!)My other feedback is that it does an excellent job of stabilizing a phone, but not perfect. That said, it is the nicest 1-axis gimbal that I've found. Compared to other 1-axis gimbals, the remote has more functions, the tripod design is better, the mount-head is better.I do think it's excellent for a 1-axis one, and has some benefits over a 3-axis version - lighter, easier to use, smaller, folds up, built-in tripod. The only negatives I've found are that it will not stay level in a vehicle that is turning and that its not as smooth as in a 3-asix gimbal. Other than that I like this one better.

Fantastic entry into the world of gimbals
As someone who has never used a gimbal of any kind, this has been a fantastic affordable first experience. I've only played around a bit with it, but have totally found a bunch of situations where I would've benefitted from this tool.Overall, it's comfortable to hold. I would imagine the biggest issue with any kinda camera holder is the comfort of holding a handle with a weighted end away from you. It's not bad. I love the ability to tilt the vertical angle and lock it in as well! The action is smooth, and I haven't been able to get the gyroscope to freak out when held normally (and when held at angles aimed up or down), however, I did find some rather amusing fast spinning when the camera was pointed up or down. I half expected this. I would love to have some sort of button to hold the position of the gyroscope if it were possible, so if someone has to get a steep angle, they won't have to get a dizzying video. The phone can double as a basic selfie stick via a locking mechanism that you screw tight just behind the phone gripping component, however, it's not the easiest to turn without disturbing the angle and doesn't allow on-the-fly angle freezing - it's mainly intended to prevent rotation when the device is powered off and I'd imagine the strain of keeping it locked while on could quickly wear out the motor. My phone, at the time of writing this, is a OnePlus 7T and is mostly a good fit. More on that below. There's a small button on the grip that turns the device on and off. Slight vibration when the motor kicks in or cuts off is felt and is a decent bit of feedback of when the gimbal is on or off. The grip is grippy enough - my phone is not incredibly light, and it feels pretty all right. I don't fear it slipping out. Usually. The telescoping action is really stiff - I almost want to say too stiff, but isn't too bad and I know it's not going anywhere once I have the length I want. The angle adjustment is a bit less tight - I almost feel like I might break something if I over tighten it, but even at the heft of my phone, it hasn't lost it's angle, and takes quick adjustments well, without feeling I'll hurt the strength of the screw clamp. The remote seats in a slot on the front of the gimbal, and is only removable if it telescopes out. This might be a slight inconvenience, but the tightness of the telescoping grip ensures that when the unit is folded up and put away, the remote will be held in place. I don't always feel a need to remove the remote, but if I want to keep the gimbal as still as possible, using my off hand to control it can help! Once paired over bluetooth (and was easy and straightforward for me), it works consistently. I wish there was a way to get it to work without pairing, though - I couldn't get the rotation buttons to work unless it was paired. There's a rubber extra that slips over one side of the phone gripper. This oddly shaped piece allows you to grip your phone closer to the middle, while preventing accidental button presses - whether it's the power button, volume button, or something else. That said, I have a few small issues with it, which an updated model could certainly fix.Firstly, the grips are too shallow and can be a bit case-unfriendly, if you tend to protect your phone. While the grips give decent friction, I could slide the phone without too much force. It's a smooth, slippery phone normally. I prefer to not remove the case when wanting to put the phone in this gimbal. Some rubber addons like with that extra component I mentioned earlier to extend the depth of the grips could be helpful. Might try to modify this as there are plenty of thinner cases out there, even for my phone, but I like the ruggedness of this case I have. The rubber button protector is a bit too soft in some parts. Dual material might've improved this, but I find in some angles, buttons still get pressed, especially if I try to center the phone in the grip.I would have loved to see add-ons that could be nicer to more phone configurations. I think I'm going to create my own adapter that can ensure the phone remains perfectly centered. I also noticed a slight angle when the phone was seated in the grip with this rubber piece. This can be fixed with the slow rotation feature but can require some finagling on the end-users part. The moment you snap 90 or 180 degrees you're going to have that skewed angle and need to re-adjust after. Not the most user-friendly scenario. Not a deal breaker as I can't imagine uses for adjusting angles WHILE recording, but the ability would be nice.Overall? This is a fantastic budget-friendly gimbal. The one axis limits the stability, but messing around with the camera gave overall better stability than what I could achieve by just holding and aiming the phone with my hands. A more smartphone-friendly camera remote in conjunction with this could really make this even more useful!

Functional right out of the box, charge it up of course.
Nice build, it is plastic, probably keep it from hitting the ground or being out in the cold for long times (below 30f) It works well in the cold, I just don't recommend leaving it in the cold for a long period of time. I have been using it at 22 degrees f. Does exactly what it is supposed to do, Keeps your phone camera horizontal in quick response to your movements. Down low, up high, it works. The remote works well. Inception mode does a nice 360 degree shot. Simple to use. Minimal learning curve. Fairly light weight, coat pocket fits nice. The extension wand of it works very nicely, mine had zero wobble or play in the extension partially to fully extended. No "bow" in the extension at all. I pushed it and put my small pocket camera on it and it worked but made me nervous about possibly dropping my pocket camera. Cell phone? Holds like a champ. Tripod is great at short extension, only works with the wand extended a couple inches but sits stable. When extended? Sits well but is definitely a problem in wind or with children or pets or a drunk uncle in the area. Small base, tall extension, bad combination. The base is very stable if the extension is kept to a couple inches.
