Nice set of books
Nice set of books, I hope my 10 year old will like them as much as liked when I read them. Arrived on time, neatly packed and the quality is decent.

Good reads in poor quality books.
Make no mistake: Maurice LeBlanc is a deity amongst French authors, his energetic writing style preceding him, and Arséne Lupin is a fantastic character. The problem is the product. The covers don't really fit the characterisation, the translator is left uncredited (undoubtedly plagiarised from another source), and the quality is overall quite poor. Other products from Classic Editions seem to have problems with text having poor page breaks; this doesn't have that, but the font is a bit odd. However, if these don't concern you, then these are perfectly good ways to read among the best French fiction in English.

The books are exactly as described, I have no complaints. I recommend ordering this collection as I think it's good value for the price. Especially if you're thinking of reading multiple books of the series.

The stories are fantastic. But there are other problems.
I love Maurice Leblanc. These stories are absolutely classic, and I'm delighted that the Netflix show LUPIN has brought them to light. Clearly, however, some people have decided to bank on that, especially since these stories just entered the public domain. The translations in this boxed set aren't always great. I'm a French speaker, so I can guess where things went awry in the translations as I'm reading these. However, other readers might not and could blame Leblanc instead of the inexpensive translators. Also, THIS ISN'T THE COMPLETE COLLECTION. There are four books missing. And the books it does have are out of order. If you do decide to buy this set, be sure to Google the correct order of stories so that you aren't confused, and then purchase the missing books. Arsène Lupin is every bit as brilliant as Sherlock Holmes, a terrific foil to the English detective. If not this collection, I hope you read his stories and love them.
