I got this as a fun project kit to do with my daughter (13) to help teach her about electronics and computing as we have a few older Raspberry Pi's in the house and a sensor kit like this makes it very easy to start experimenting and getting familiar with sensors and basic programming. The kit really gives you pretty much everything you need, including good documentation. I will say that this did require a little more knowledge than some may be familiar with, but if you're a hobbyist and take some time I think it's generally straight forward and great kit. I used a Raspberry Pi Pico and a Raspberry Pi 3B+ in our projects and had a lot fun. Pros - I like the way that the sensors come mounted and in the way that the kit is packaged, it does a pretty good job at recommending projects and it's very well laid out and straight forward to do. I felt like there was a good variety in the sensors and the directions were pretty good too, and for the price as well, I think you're getting a great deal there as well! Cons - I'd just note that this is probably a little more technically oriented than some may be comfortable with, not that it is bad, but you may need to play around with it some and take your time if this is your first time messing with sensor programming. Final Verdict - I think this is a great kit for a great price that does make electronics projects easy and fairly approachable for most. I've done projects with arduinos and ESP32s and found that this was fairly straight forward and fun to do. I'd definitely note that you want to take your time with this but that it's a great gift for either yourself or for someone who may be interested in technology, but I'd make sure they have what they need to succeed first with having a Raspberry Pi as well as having had some technical experience and they'll have a good time. Overall, would highly recommend!

Used this Pico Pi for an assembly class. Worked well and compact size for a variety of projects. Worked flawlessly with using VScode and great value for money. Just make sure to solder the pins on straight.

The Raspberry Pi Pico is a useful and convenient MCU platform for projects and education. Python scripting eliminates the need for a complex development environment to get up and running. And even in cases where the developer compiles their own custom firmware, the firmware image can be uploaded to the Pico via drag-and-drop in a file explorer, without requiring any special tools for flashing. It's a good option for beginners. The ELECFREAKS Wukong2040 sensor starter kit contains a handy breakout board for the Pico, compatible with the Pico 2040, along with several sensors, LEDs, a tiny OLED display, a servo, a motor, and a fan blade. It also comes with some wires to attach to the headers to get the sensors up and running. A colorful manual describes how to interact with the sensors in MicroBlocks, a visual programming language. This is all quite nice, and I can imagine kids having fun playing around with the included gadgets while learning some programming skills. However, the big omission in this kit is the Pi Pico itself. It certainly could ruin the fun if the kit is bought as a gift without paying close attention to the product title beforehand. The Pico is pictured in the first image, after all. This diminishes the value and convenience of this kit quite significantly in my view. A Pico 2040 with some pre-soldered headers wouldn't add much to the price. Overall, I'd only recommend this beginner's kit if you happen to have a Pico with headers already or are willing to buy one separately.
