Nice Decorations!
I rarely write reviews, but I’m writing this because these were such a pleasant surprise! Thick, durable laminated paper and they assemble in a snap. The lights are bright and it’s nice that they have the option to blink. I like them so much I bought a second set.

Lights didn’t work
I was very disappointed with this. The LED lights wouldn’t turn on, and as other reviews said, there is no way to mount them in the star. The star itself looked cheaper than I was hoping for.In addition, there are no instructions in the box - only on this Amazon posting.

News instructions but very pretty.
Perhaps I am just not of an engineering mind, but it took a while for me to figure out how to assemble these stars. I determined that each side of the shoelace bits gets fed into one side of the open part of the star, and held in place by Alget like bits on the end, then after you puff the star up you tighten the string so it stays open. If you hang the star using this string it will hang upside down, but for our purposes that was actually what we wanted. When we wrapped up the party all we had to do was loosen the tie mechanism, not all the way or else you won’t be able to redo it, and you’re all set to pack up again. We never did figure out how to string the lights that came with in the star without using a different thinner string, as the shoelace aglet was too thick for the opening on the light and simply dropping them in made the light fall deep into one corner. Regardless, these were pretty and once we knew what we were doing they worked well for us.

Beautiful Star Accents
We used these as decor for my daughter's star-themed wedding. There were no instructions, but it was fairly straight forward in how to assemble. It would be helpful if the lights came with some instructions. It took a while for us to figure out how they work (hint - remove the yellow plastic ring inside) and how they fit into the star (also hint - we just dropped them in the bottom point light up). They are very sturdy for a paper product, and even though it rained, we only lost one to the damp.

Tedious to put together
These are made of thick cardboard, I would say a little heavier then cereal boxes; you have to be careful when setting up, or you can rip/ damage the star edges, the threads to pull the pieces together are made of like a thick shoestring material, and you can see them hang from the ceiling, lastly the most frustrating part was the lights which are advertised for 70 hours lasted about 24, and didn't hang from the strings, because the strings were too thick to connect in the lights. Despite the setbacks, I'd buy again -

Hole to small to thread string through
Once I figured out how to open them without ripping the, they were pretty, but the string provided is way too large for the metal loop at the top of the light and I didn’t have the time or the patience to figure out a solution. I would have sent them back, but got busy over the holidays.

Very well made. Not flimsy little paper lanterns.
We used these as ornaments on a 12 ft Christmas tree. The different sizes were perfect to flow from top to bottom.

Just a little improvisation!
You have to take the plastic off the batteries in the lights before they can work. I used a different string to hang the lights up, but they are beautiful!
