I have now developed the habit of carrying this with me in a backpack and testing out steps at all new and interesting places I visit. It’s fun and works.

I have one of those metal bird feeding "trees" - a vertical pole with several arms where I can attach bird feeders. I bought this to wrap around the central pole to keep off squirrels, which it is great for.

Bought a plastic no brand rainbow coloured jumbo one for my 4 year old grandson which he loves so thought I’d buy an original slinky made from metal to entertain my grandson under supervision. I eagerly opened it and tried it on my stairs, in a way I was reliving my childhood because I’d always wanted a slinky but lived in a bungalow as a child which obviously didn’t have stairs) unfortunately my stairs are not suited to the size of this slinky. It will not slink down them however or wherever on the stairs I place it. A step on my stairs measures very approximately 9”(22cm?) deep by 6 1/2”(16cm?). Maybe the slinky would walk down a narrower step but it doesn’t like my ones at all.

Not as good as they used to be in fact pretty disappointing- used in stairs does 1 or 2 then stops. My old slinky as a kid seemed way better.

Great product that's been going since 1945 and 3-million sold ,and now i know why it so popular with people,it bounces and stretches,walk ,etc. Worth every penny and worth waiting for even though i got it the next day!Even better its from the USA and made from good materials not like the cheap nasty plastic Slinky made from cheap company's.Brad.

This is the original Slinky that works as it should, bought for a five year old grandson just after Christmas, to replace the one I bought for him at Christmas from a shop, which claimed to be able to loop itself down the stairs, but which disappointingly did nothing of the sort, just remained sulkily on one stair and, if nudged, simply collapsed and fell over. This Slinky by Flair is great fun for children and adults. It's just like the slinkies we bought for our children when they were small. However, it can become unusable if stretched by an over-enthusiastic four-year-old boy who likes to pull things apart, so if you have a boy like that, keep it out of reach when not supervised!

No where near as good as they used to be. Unable to climb down carpeted stairs-what's the point?

È uno spasso giocarci. È fatta molto bene, la fine della molla è sigillata in modo da non rompersi nemmeno volendo e pur essendo in metallo è impossibile tagliarsi perché i bordi sono rifiniti. Io l'ho regalata al mio fidanzato e la usa come antistress.

J'ai choisi Slinky comme objet de détente, et aussi parce que j'avais un ressort plastique qui n'a pas duré étant enfant. Je le manipulais beaucoup... Ici, le ressort est durable et de bonne qualité. Retrouver cette sensation sur un autre ressort d'une autre matière, c'est que du bonheur. La hauteur du Slinky mesure 5,5cm pour un diamètre intérieur de 6,5cm. Diamètre extérieur 6,7cm. Malgré mes grandes paluches, le Slinky se tient très bien dans la main. Bonne prise en main donc. Je ne l'ai pas encore testé dans les escaliers car ce n'est pas pour cela que je l'ai acheté mais qui sait, l'occasion se présentera et je le ferais. (^_^) Je recommanderais Slinky à mon entourage.
