Amazing results!
This is probably the best product I have ever bought from Amazon. I have had a nasty fungal big toe for years and had tried all sorts of home treatments but nothing worked. I ended up going to an expensive podiatrist who suggested a two-pronged attack of laser treatment and medication - an expensive option and I didn't fancy medication as there are potential side effects. I found this product on Amazon and thought I'd have one last go myself. I used it for about 2 weeks to totally remove the nail, this was painless, then I treated my "naked" nailbed with lamisil cream daily for some weeks as the nail gradually grew back. First photo is fungal nail then pic 2 is halfway grown back and third pic today. Still a bit of growth to go and a tidy up but the fungus has completely disappeared. I'm overjoyed. It has taken about 6 months but well worth it. I can't recommend this product highly enough.

Lots of products say they work but this does but now in 2-3 weeks
Ok to start with this works 100%. 2-3 weeks though is just not happening unless you have a small early stages. Most people leave this too long like me. You will need to use this for 3-9 months depending on how bad your nail/s are. To apply you have to soak nails for about 10 mins, file down surface, dry apply and cover. It says daily but I would do it every couple of days as long as you can keep the plasters on. I used surgical tape or toe caps. Now you may have tried so many other products and don’t really seem to work as have I and the reviews say they work. This does but expect to be in this for the long haul and not a few weeks fix. And the cost it will set you back but it does work. Just don’t give up thinking it looks much better as it will return if you don’t get it all. The 4 star rating is just because of the cost.

It's really fast - wish I'd known about this months ago.
Like most people with this cursed ailment, I've tried a few things and they've all been useless.I don't know about anybody else but I haven't got the time or dedication to spend six months painting my toenails daily in the vague hope it might get better, with no visual evidence of any actual improvement. This stuff came recommended from a web article as being fast and it's not kidding. The treatment cream is a strong urea formula that softens the revolting brittle nail. There's also a nasty little multitool that's absolutely great for poking, slicing and generally fetching off the grotty bits of nail that you will now be able to remove. I also used a battery powered nail file I've got to bring stuff off but you could just use an emery board. Please understand - you will probably lose the majority of the nail - however, I've just put some falsies on for now which I couldn't do because of the infection. Now the horror has gone, it should grow back not looking like the stuff of nightmares. The plasters are a bit weird - after the first few days I just sliced a section of one off each day and used that. They need to improve those. They're rubbish. But, big story, I had two infected big toe nails that have been causing me utter despair for a couple of years. This stuff has done the job in a couple of weeks. I'm confident that if it returns, I'll be able to nix it quickly with this stuff too. I know it's a bit pricy but it's a lot less than the cumulative price of all the stuff I bought which didn't work. So start with this I'd say.

Problematic
Sounded like a good concept. Supposed for use in mild to moderate cases. Instructions were vague. There is a practitioners web site that actually provides more information. Had to contact Bayer to find out how to apply it and they didn't know anything that wasn't in the manual. Ointment seems legit and it's hard to get out of the tube and apply. Apparently if your whole nail is infected or if you are unsure which parts are infected, you can apply it to the whole nail. The main thing is to avoid getting any on the skin. I found the supplied seemingly waterproof plasters overkill and after 24 hours I removed the plaster from the big toe and found that it was damp underneath from sweat, totally non-breathable, and the skin was all wrinkled like I'd soaked my toe in water overnight. It was horrific. I instead used normal elastoplast strip plaster and didn't have this issue. Also, if the nail is separated from the nail bed (severe case), then the scraper is not going to work as it would put too much lateral pressure on the nail. It moved my nail but didn't scrape it very well. I got a tiny amount of nail off but gave up. A 20 min soak is not enough to soften up a big toe nail and scrape it with the supplied scraper unless you use serious force. I soaked my toe for 40 mins in salt solution and that wasn't enough either. So I have just been applying the ointment and basically ignoring the rest of the kit. I'm sure a tube of the ointment on its own would be half the price! Amazon is selling it for slightly over RRP (not uncommon) but it's hard to find otherwise. Been using it a week and so far hasn't done much, in conjunction with antibiotics as the whole toe was infection with bacteria, on top of the toenail fungal infection, but then again neither did the neat clove oil i was applying to it anyway (before I took the antibiotics). My GP reckoned the bacterial infection was driving the fungal infection so perhaps now the bacterial infection is almost gone I'll make some progress with the fungal infection. However, one GP I spoke to said I can use anti-fungal ointment if I want, and the other I spoke to said these topical ointments and treatments do nothing, and both said the only real treatment is oral antifungal medication which is only given after submitting toenail clippings and verification that it is definitely fungal. So I imagine these treatments work in very mild cases well but otherwise no. I will continue to use it but I think my whole toenail is binned but am at least hoping to kill off the fungal infection in the nail so it doesn't spread.

Doesn't work
So this product hasn't worked for me, it has done nothing to soften the nail, the scraper didn't do anything as the nail hasn't been softened enough by the cream. I fiynd the plasters were fine. An expensive experiment
