Tame your expectations and it's great!
I bought this knowing that Arc GPUs are *still* notorious for driver bugs, and some games flat out won't play on them.I bought this for 204.99 when it was on sale a few weeks ago. It was chosen over the A770 offerings due to the fact that it's a 2 slot card, and it was going into a Fractal Terra build for my girlfriend. She's not a gamer per se, but would like the option to try games in the future. Why not a used GPU? Well it would have still costed more for a used 3060 of 6700xt, and this one was brand new, with a warranty, AND Intel has been churning out updates left and right. These updates are like 2-5% improvements, they're like 20-40% improvements! Here are the main reasons I bought this GPU:1.) Brand new with warranty and option to return.2.) Cheaper that on par GPUs from the used market.3.) Not intended for a gaming PC*.4.) It fit the size requirements.5.) Steve from GN gave it the "not bad" nod of approval, and the teardown of the A770 highlighted its build quality.6.) I wanted to experiment and get a feel for Intel's GPU support and Deep Link functionality before Battlemage comes.Pros:- Exceptional build quality. No exaggeration, the "quality" of the look and feel are very premium. Easily on par with my 4080S FE.- Eccentric yet effective cooling method. Vapor chamber, blower fan, and pass through - yes please.- Performance*; I played BF2042 and Helldivers2 at 1080p, 60fps, on a super old TV since those are the limitations of the TV. (Out of town, no monitor.) It played super smooth and it was a really enjoyable experience. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. No stutters, no crashes, no problems AT ALL.- Price makes this a very compelling option, and these Arc cards are frequently on sale or bundled with promos like free games.- Temps and noise have been a non issue during normal computing tasks and competitive gaming.- Lighting effects are subtle. The overall design is very discreet and mature.Cons:- Absolutely none, so long as you have realistic expectations and understand the hardware limitations. This is a very good choice for a GPU, and I am 100% willing to recommend this to my friends.Disclaimer:Do your research, and watch recently published videos on the CPU+GPU combo you intend to run before making a purchase. I did not test this with photo/video editing or 3D rendering, although I am confident it can get the job done for most users. If you're a professional looking for professional grade equipment, smack yourself for even making it this far!

Great performance at low price. No problems so far.
The installation was simple but lengthy. I have a 10850kf cpu and my motherboard needed a BIOS update for the rebar. After installing the drivers and before doing the BIOS update, the GPU was running like a slide show. BIOS update took a while, lots and lots of reboots but finally had the rebar enable option in the BIOS and GPU started working well.I have the GPU mounted vertically and I thought the RGB would look good but it is kind of dull looking in real life. The first fan has a very dull looking RGB and the second fan has some RGB but barely there. I don't think the RGB quality looks as good as they advertise in the box. But, it is OK enough looking and not too bad; just not as good as I thought it was going to be.The GPU came with the Assassin's Creed game and the code came in the next day after delivery. It is running 60 fps on high settings on ultra-wide 1440p system. The game runs smoothly enough that I'm immersed and enjoying it. There are some hitches when loading levels but gameplay is smooth.Overall, for the price it is a good card and happy with it. Aesthetics could be better but its not too bad.

Driver Woes: The Disappointment of the Predator BiFrost Intel Arc A770
For those seeking a quick summary: As of 4/19/2024, I cannot recommend purchasing the Predator BiFrost Intel Arc A770 GPU due to its plethora of driver-related bugs, frequent crashes, lag spikes (resulting in FPS drops to 0), and graphical glitches. My recently purchased the Predator BiFrost Intel Arc A770 was met with great anticipation. Promising top-tier specs within my budget and compatibility with my setup, I was eager to experience enhanced performance. However, excitement quickly turned to disappointment as I encountered a multitude of issues. To add insult to injury, On amazon the Predator BiFrost was advertised "This GPU supports VR platforms like Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Valve Index through its HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.0 outputs, enabling smooth and immersive VR experiences.", a feature that was a significant selling point for me. However, despite assurances from the manufacturer and amazon, I found that the GPU was not compatible with my Rift S setup. This false advertising only was quite the let down. i ended up talking to an intel support staff and they said their VR engineers are admently working on driver support for VR.The performance of the Intel Arc A770 GPU fell short of expectations. Instead of smooth gameplay and flawless graphics, I encountered frequent crashes, lag spikes (fps dropping straight to 0) and graphical glitches, undermining the experience. It's perplexing how a GPU boasting high-end specifications struggles with basic functionality. While Intel Arc A770 is rather new so they are still working on the bugs with their drivers. I would have loved to see its drivers become updated and witness improvements over time. However, on a set income, I can't afford to wait indefinitely, never knowing if it will become the reliable, high-performance GPU I had hoped for. The current state of the drivers severely impacts gaming experiences, with many titles suffering from mentioned bugs.Overall, my experience with the Predator BiFrost Intel Arc A770 has been overwhelmingly negative. Despite its stellar specs, the reality is that this GPU is riddled with issues and fails to deliver on those amazing specs. As much as i wish i had the means to keep the gpu to see it become a one of the best gpu out there for the price as of 4/19/2024 i am going to be returning this to try something that might be more stable even if the specs are alittle bit lower.
