I've noticed it doesn't have a metal hook on the bottom like my old one. Is there any different?

They don't have the metal hook any more as Vent-Axia made a part change but they still fit the units as before.Kind regardsGlen

Can I confirm these are the latest versions without the hooks please as the dimensions given suggest they are the old style which I do not want.

The manufacturer has extended the filter pad to fill in the gap where the wire spacer used to be. These new ones fitted my machine ok.

How often shall the filter be changed?

I think this depends on the property size, location etc. I clean my filters every 3 or 4 weeks and will change them once they look like cleaning isn't enough.
