Works brilliant, I had tried a few hacks before buying this tool to replace rear shock eyelet and bushings, dont know why I wasted my time, 2 min job with the right tool

This did a great job helping me to assemble the mounting hardware into my new shock. Faultless. Removing the mounting hardware from my old shock was successful but removing the eyelet bushings has scored the inside of the shock eyes. Just slightly. I don't imagine it will affect the shock but there is now a very shallow thread cut into one of the two eyes.I used WD40 to lubricate all the components hoping this would prevent any shock damage as I'd read other reviews with this issue but only one bushing came out without causing damage. I think that's worth clarifying though...I believe it's the old bushings cutting into the shock as they're removed that causes the damage and not necessarily the tool itself. Rather than trying to swap these over, leave them in the old shock and get new ones for your new shock. They're quite inexpensive and available on Amazon.

SRAM bushing tool, looks better and more robust construction that some of the other similar items shown on AMAZON which have proved inferior i.e. bolt thread being stripped during use.Not the cheapest or most abundant item but well worth having

I had the same issue as others say. As the barrel turns against the actual bush it opens it out (pressure against the bush lip plus rotation) when pushing a bush in. As such the bush has a flanged edge, which the shock mounting bar then has an issue being pushed through (have to use the tool to do that). Not ideal and it doesn't sit flush against the shock/eyelet.The Rockshox service manual actually only advises using the tool to remove a bush and push the mounting bar through. To install a bush it specifies using a vice. You could in some way use the installing part of the tool in a vice with some modifications, like using a strip of wood pre-drilled with a hole to accept the narrow front end of the tool when the bush is fully pressed in. That would work. Since I was changing the bush on the shock in place on the bike, that was not an option for me...Using the tool to push out a bush works ok as the bush lip cannot open out as it is contained within the shock eyelet and also since it is being discarded it does not matter if damaged.The simplest fix is to actually get a large 20mm washer with a 6 mm hole (big enough for the front of the tool to past though) and place that on the 'cup' side. Then turn the cup so that the bush side is not turning. The washer protects the front face of the shock eyelet and the 'cup' side turns against the washer. Just wish I'd thought of that before I'd damaged one bush, that had to be throw away, and fitted the 2nd......

Very handy tool. Works as described with no issues. Used to both remove and replace both the eyelet bushings.

Did exactly what I wanted it too. Easy.

During a recent shock upgrade, I used this tool to remove the bushings (and caps) from the old shock and install them into the new shock. This tool worked perfectly! It's a perfect fit for the bushings and the caps and was simple to use. I did not have issues with the tool deforming as others have reported. The tool worked flawlessly and I am very pleased!

Fait son job correctement , seul reproche...son prix .Utilisé à plusieurs reprise sur different amortisseur , je regrette pas mon achat par rapport au gain de temps et à la facilité d'utilisation.
